We have had 3 full-size dysons over the years and still use one but bought the cordless last Fall and love it. We’ve always had dogs and cats and the cordless picks up our white shepherds hair better than the big dyson. I vacuum large area rugs and wood floor and tile. We vacuum daily. Will use in camper too.

Dont get me wrong...this thing sucks. The biggest issues are: 1) You have to hold the trigger in while vacuuming, which gets old after a few minutes. 2) The tiny battery doesn't vacuum more than 800 sq ft in a charge. 3) If you pull the stick out of the brush base, you need both hands to do it, i stead of just kicking it off on a Shark, and theres so mich nonsense in the bad design, that you cant just suck something up because it doesnt have a clear path, its too complicated and cant get a seal on the floor.

So far, I feel very satisfied with the purchase of this Dyson. The biggest drawback to me is the emptying of the dust bin. It’s awkward. Wondering why they made the design different on this cordless stick with the dust bin. I live in a small apartment and for that reason, I have not had any issues with the run time on the battery. I have two cats and the suction works well for my needs.

I love this one because it's a lightweight design and has a powerful suction that pulls from the carpet pad! I was so shocked and embarrassed at how nasty my carpet was. And how I used my regular vacuum, and it didn't work. Battery life says 45 minutes but depending on carpet height. But it definitely doesn't last 45 minutes.

I have purple Dyson Animal corded vacuum that works super but is heavy & cumbersome using behind furniture & under beds. Nancy, my sister in law, purchased this cordless Dyson last year, so I knew attributes of vacuum. Yesterday, I made the big leap & bought me the Dyson V8. Wow! Better than I expected. Very easy to assemble, charge & use. I can use any of the four attachments to make portable cordless vacuum with ease. No more leaves under the bed or chewed papers hiding behind furniture from my dogs outdoors adventures. Not inexpensive purchase but so much better than the last three corded vacuums purchased for less than $100.

This vacuum is great on tile and hardwood floors. Great if you have no carpet. I use it on my carpet if I need to pick up a small mess. This is my third Dyson and I will continue to buy them. I use a shark at church because that is all they have and I wouldn't give you a dime for it.

I have a dog that sheds an insane amount and a 100 year old house, so dust and hair are EVERYWHERE. This vacuum handles ALL of it with ease. I especially love the attachement to clean the couch. My only two complaints are: 1. the battery life, but I run on max all the time and 2.) the holder thing only has a spot for two attachments, but it comes with three. Not really a big deal, but it might be to someone!

There is no toggle switch and it's very easy to break when emptying if you or whoever might be borrowing it doesn't consult the manual for instructions on what should be a simple process. Like everyone else says the battery is terrible. This vacuum is passively suicidal and must be given close attention.

Purchased a month ago and used 5-6x. The first 2 uses held a charge for 40 minutes. The 2nd couple of uses held a charge about 20 minutes. Now, the full charge runs out in under 10 minutes of use. For the price, I'm extremely unhappy with this vacuum. I expected more from a Dyson.

HATE IT!! I can't do more than 2 swipes on the area rug or the hard woods without it stopping. It has a full charge and the bin is empty and it still shuts off ALL THE TIME. I have a cheap $89 vacuum for my hard woods that works better than this. Very disappointed.
