Honestly, apple pies have never been my favorite, but I eat them because they are so common. Most use a tart Granny Smith, but I prefer a sweet apple. This recipe is perfect for my taste. I love the sweetness, the rich flavor, and the flaky crust. It’s delicious alone at room temperature, or served warm with vanilla ice cream. Will definitely keep buying these. The large size (I would estimate 12” diameter) is great for family gatherings.

I do not recommend this pie couple years ago used to be a whole lot better they’re dropping the ball now I’m making a lot of their baked goods and they’re selling it a lot of stuff too close to the expiration date. You need to check that doesn’t have enough cinnamon in it apples are not cooked to the way they should be the crust is burnt a lot and Maya viewpoint don’t bother. Period.

My family has always loved the apple pie from Sams so I have bought them for years. The last one I bought a week ago was not good. Hardly any apples and the apples didn't have a good flavor. Disappointed and the price of course has gone up. Don't know if I will ever try again

I didn’t expect much but this pie was awesome. It had a lot more crust/calories for just me so it was sad to throw away half the pie after a week of trying to eat it without overeating sweets. I was hoping it would win my family over but my husband don’t eat fruit anything and my toddlers mostly ate the apples throughout the week. I would take this to a pot luck but probably not buy it for just me again

Good buy

don't buy unless you like a jalapeno aftertaste for hours after eating. I threw out several oft these pies thinking it was a mistake or that I was imagining things but after several purchases I am now convinced someone is adding hot sauce or something similar (no, it's not the cinnamon) to the pies made at the Newington, CT store. I guess people who don't like hot food don't count.
