Buy somewhere else

The refrigerator was delivered with a non-working ice maker. Despite two calls to LG -- the first time, we were told to give it 48 hours for the ice maker to "settle." Five days later, we called again and were told they would ship us a new ice maker, but we would have to install it ourselves. When we declined and asked for a technician, the customer service person put us on hold. We were disconnected and never heard from them again. This whole experience has been a nightmare. The delivery people held the unit in their warehouse for nearly a month. When they arrived, they told my wife it would not fit into our space (though we were careful to replace it with a unit with identical dimensions). After blurting out a highly offensive string of foul words, they just left the unit in the middle of the kitchen floor. I got home and managed to get it in. The water line did not work, but I got it going by disconnecting the external line and flushing it (it was full of yellowish crud and black specks). The local Sam's store manager could only provide a toll-free number. We have learned our lesson. From now on, we buy appliances from local stores. Who cares if it costs a little more? At least they stand behind what they sell.

Good fridge, but HORRIBLE ice making & water volum

Our fridge is about two years old. We love it because it fits in the space & holds all of what we deem necessary. I also like the simple "tray" below the ice dispenser. However, we hate it because it has HORRIBLE ice making capacity & water output volume. Several times, we've been out of town for a few days & it still doesn't fill the bucket. No handles is also very frustrating & we'll not make that mistake again! We're ready to get rid of it in an effort to find something that will actually work for us!
