Seems very heavy and durable but already has rust near top seam where lid sits after one use. The inside is coated ceramic that stains very easily. The top rim where the lid sits on the pot is not coated, and rusts built up staining the ceramic around. I did not leave the pot in water. It rusted the first time I used it. Not happy with purchase, even though it was inexpensive.

I bought this pot on a one day only special and so glad I did! The color teal is beautiful, heats up super quick, water comes to a boil in no time, even heat distribution. This pan is a weighty piece because of it being cast iron. I have a glass cooktop and it works perfectly. Definitely would recommend this piece. Buy it you will love it!

I have been wanting one of these for years, but as others have said in their reviews I couldn't justify the price. When it went on sale $10 off the time was right! The first thing I made was chicken and dumplings. In my other pot, I had to cook them for a long time and add thickening to boot. This pot thickened my dumplings within an hour. At dinner, my husband tried them and asked me what I did differently (besides the new pot). I said nothing. The chicken and dumplings had a richer flavor somehow and were amazing! I LOVE it!!!

Originally purchased this item in the store and absolutely loved it. Great product at a great price. Saw it on line and purchased it as a gift for my daughter-in-law. She raved about it when she saw the one my wife had. We rotate "family nights" and this product is great for preparing meals for large groups. It is also very good looking besides practical.

The Tramontina dutch oven is a beautiful piece. However .... I originally purchased the teal which is glossy, flawless and so beautiful, I had no hesitance to get one more in another color. I chose purple. It arrived pitted in various areas and rather dull. Sams efficiently arranged the return/ exchange. The second purple was worse, pitted both inside and out. Two strikes, I suspect the purple line is probably flawed in this way. Sams again efficiently arranged for the return / exchange, and this time I'm ordering cobalt blue. Fingers crossed!

I was very happy to receive my dutch oven shipment today at my door. The weight of the box is 13lbs. It is shipped in carefully thought out packaging to protect it, which held up perfectly. As soon as I unpackaged the lid, I immediately saw the quality of materials and workmanship that went into it. Can't wait to start cooking in it!

Functionality-wise, this Dutch oven has impressed me from the start. I used it to bake sourdough and make a hearty soup, and it performed beautifully in both cases. The heat distribution is excellent, and it handles long cooking times like a champ. However, it's worth noting that this is a heavy piece of cookware. While the weight gives it a solid, substantial feel—ideal for heat retention and even cooking—it can be a bit challenging to move around, especially when it’s full. I've only used it once so far, so I'm curious to see how it holds up over time. I have a 5.5 Qt Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven in white that unfortunately chipped, but this 7 Qt version is supposed to be more durable. The manufacturer highlights a different finishing process with three layers of porcelain-enamel exterior coating, designed to be chip-resistant and prevent rust. I’m hopeful that this new coating will live up to its promises and outlast the 5.5 quart. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase, but the true test will be in its long-term durability.

This dutch oven arrived 2 days early and when I took it out of the box it was beautiful. The quality seems very good idea weight means anything. ..it's heavy! So far it works wonderfully with my induction cook top and my potroast turned out great. I would buy this product again.

I just bought my dutch oven and have only cooked one meal in it. But so far, I love my dutch oven. It cooked evenly and quickly. And because the lid is heavy it helped seal in flavor. Not only did I order one for myself but I also got one for my daughter-in-law as a gift.

I have wanted a cast iron pot for a long time, but they were just to expensive for the size I wanted. The price of this pot and the quality is tremendous. I have used it weekly since I got it and leave it on the stove all the time because it is just so beautiful. Mine is the blue and is the most vibrant cobalt blue.
