Hello! Thank you for your interest in Abbyson, Makers of the Living Experience. We apologize for this inconvenient experience. We are currently working on improving the quality. This recliner is high-quality bonded leather upholstery. Bonded leather is match man-made material consisting of bonded leather and vinyl. It is a lower-grade material than the top-grain leather. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for any additional questions or concerns, and an Abbyson team member will assist. (888) 406-0838. It’s a beautiful item and we hope you will make the decision to purchase Abbyson. Sincerely, Sabrina
