WORMS

A few months ago, I found some broccoli worms (dead of course) clinging to the broccoli stems after I steamed it. I chalked it up to a one-off issue. But I recently purchased this again and in all four bags I’m seeing dozens of broccoli worms in the cooked product. Disgusting…. Won’t be buying again.

Made my stomach ache so bad I threw them out

I bought these for the convenience as my toddler loves broccoli. I placed them in my air fryer oven to "thaw" then after 10 minutes I season them and finish roasting for another 5-8 minutes. I ate the first bag and noticed my little guy wouldn't touch them. Within the hour my stomach started hurting 😫. I didn't realize that it was the broccoli until I cooked the second bag . Same exact thing happened and my stomach hurt for hours after I'm used to eating tons of fiber so that's not the issue, something is wrong with this batch of broccoli. I threw the rest away. I assume the ice around the crowns masked the fact that they were bad, and I had covid recently and can't smell anything so I probably would have smelled it.

NOT MICROWAVE SAFE.

The white plastic bag these come in is not safe to microwave/ steam in. The bag claims to be safe but it's not. The bag imparts a plastic/chemical flavor to the broccoli. If you cook by microwaving on a plate, boiling on stovetop, baking, etc. then the broccoli is fine.

Not 1 lb bags

Getting ready to make broccoli cheese soup which needed a pound of broccoli. No big deal right? I have four of the 1lb bags from Sams. Weighed to make sure before cooking it. Not a lb after all the water thaws off. 9 ounces. I had to use most of a 2nd bag to make a pound. This should be false advertising or mislabeled with intent.

What happened?!

Been using this for years for great steamed broccoli in microwave. The past few pkgs I've purchased, over half are brown/black!! Pkg is the same, directions same, even tried adjusting cook time... Still over half not edible!!! Plz go back to whatever the original was🙏🏻

Best frozen broccoli florets ever!

This MM frozen broccoli florets is superior to any others that I have tried, even the pricier brands in the grocery stores. My chief complaint with the others is that the package is nearly half chunks of stalk parts... not what you would expect from the packaging that states broccoli florets. I just opened Sam's with delight when I only see florets... absolutely no chunks or even small pieces of just stalk. Love this product!!!

Taste fresh

It's frozen broccoli, but it's really good frozen broccoli. No stems mixed in, all florets. It also really does taste about as close to fresh as you can get without actually making fresh broccoli. I usually microwave it, but sometimes I microwave it and then add some ghee and saute it a bit. It's delicious and tender. This is something I always buy when I'm at Sam's.

Disappointed

Why do companies always change something that isn't broken. These used to be good but ever since the new packaging they are horrible. They do not cook up the same. Some broccoli is brown or yellow, some bags have holes in them so they leak. Not sure what Members Mark is doing but their quality control has really gone down.

worms

Let me start off by putting here I get disgusted easily so you can just imagen. Worms, worms worms I will NOT re purchase. More that half had a worm or 2. Yes I look at my food before eating/cooking it and this made me really sick. I have trust issues with frozen food now.

Yes!

Excellent! This item can be ordered for store pick up at least at stores I’ve shopped. This is a large bag with individual steamer bags inside. Sometimes we get a bag where the steamer bags are torn open. Here’s what we do, we open a steamer bag that’s filled w/ broccoli & take out only what we need for that meal, I place broccoli in a microwave steamer container (or cook as you see fit) there’s also steamer bags you can buy at Walmart, Target, etc. Then I place the remainder of uncooked broccoli in a ziplock freezer bag & store until next use. We do this because each steamer bag has a lot of broccoli in it & we don’t use that much per meals. It’s also a great back up way to steam just in case your enclosed steamer bag is ripped before using. As far as the broccoli itself it’s perfect! Large whole florets, no other frozen broccoli compares & believe me I’ve bought & tried them ALL! Steam up a nice dark green, don’t fall apart (lots of bags have a lot of breakage that’s just mush after cooking) taste is great! My kiddos pretend their tiny trees! Give them & try & don’t let the possibility of ripped steamer bags keep you from buying this & price is fantastic!
