Best tire I have had

I replaced a set of Bridgestone tires that came original with my truck. I had intended to replace with the same...but because they were out of that tire my dealer convinced me to try the Michelin LTX. Turned out to be my lucky day. I'm now 35,000 miles in, and there's barely any discernible wear. Also, the LTX is quieter and smoother on the highway than my previous tires. I've been thrilled with this tire. When the time comes, I'll be sticking with Michelins.

Replaced the original ...

Replaced the original equipment tires (non-Michelin) on my 2006 Ford Explorer. What a difference, better handling, wet weather traction, and over all ride. Have nearly 15K miles and no sign of wear. These tires should last forever if I rotate them regularly.

Tire wear not up to par

Tires ride and handle great; HOWEVER, at 25,000 miles they are almost at the treadwear bars. This is unfortunate. The old LTX gave great tire wear, this new tire just doesn't live up to expectations. I do a good mix of on and off-road driving. These are the factory tires on my Tundra.

Michelins "fuel saver" ...

Michelins "fuel saver" tires were not available in the size needed for a standard rim 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee last fall when I needed them. The AT2's are costing more at every fill up with lower gas milage. I will take the AT2's off when the more fuel efficient tires become available for my Jeep. Which raises the question as to why Michelins production for a popular tire size was postponed.

Excellent wearability

I live on a gravel road and have had excellent tire wear and durability with these tires. The ones I currently have are the fourth set that I have had for a variety of pickup trucks that I drive daily. I will definitely replace the current set with another set of Michelin tires. They are the only brand that I buy for our vehicles.

A/T means Asphalt Tire not All Terrain

The A/T 2 is not a tire for off road or even cutting a cross your yard. I have to put my truck in 4 wheel drive just to pull through my yard. I have been a Michelin man my whole life. I have Michelins on all my other cars (4). But if Michelin doesn't come out with the LTX M/S in the 275/65R20, I hate to say it I will NOT be buying Michelins for my F250 when these A/T 2's are worn out unless LTX M/S comes out in my size.

NOT an all terrain tire.

This tire is by no means an all terrain tire. It is little more than an aggressive highway tire. It came on a truck I bought; otherwise I would have never bought this for occasional off-roading. Also the shoulder lugs have a step that runs around each side of the tire that traps dirt, mud, and water in the middle. And when the tire is 50% worn it will be slick. This is a very poor design for an all terrain tire.

Good traction in snow/ice/rain

After a year and a half of mountain, desert, highway and city driving, tires seem to have great traction in varied conditions. Good ride on Interstate highways, snow/ice conditions of local mountain roads and also unpaved, gravel roads. Price was a bit high, but if they last for 80,000 to 90,000 miles, they are worth it. Very satisified with wear, feel of tires on varied road conditions and would not hesitate to buy again. So far, they are wearing evenly and well.

Outstanding for Horse Truck and Trailers

We have used the Michelin LTX tire with very impressive results exclusively on our four horse trailer with living quarters along with our 1 ton Ford F350. These tires will run between 40-50 thousand miles with impressive service life. Currently we are on our 3rd set of tires so that's a total of 30 tires we have experience with. The 150,000 miles has all been loaded with horses that we tow all over the Western US. Each weekend we make the trip from Sacramento over the sierra Nevada mountains to our Ranch in Reno. Snow and Rain never stop us and the tire delievers when it is most required. This tire is a must for all equestrian enthusiasts for performance and safety.

Great Tires for the Price

I got these tires 6 years ago and they never let me down. I use my truck for heavy loads or hauling things around and have never had anything go wrong. What I love the most is the Nitrogen added to the tires instead of air. I don't have to fill my tires for every heavy load I put in my truck.
