Wanted this brother printer as it prints wireless from my macbook, iphone and ipad. Called brother for free tech support for help setting up printer. Very simple and brother gives u lifetime free tech support.

I have a lap top computer and this printer will not hook up to the computer without an external dvd player. Now I have to buy an external dvd player. So now it sits idle till I can get an external dvd player for a lap top computer.

This is the perfect printer for me. I had two Epson printers and both failed. Never again will I use an Epson printer, Echo tank printers went bad and the cost to fix them was more than I paid for them.

Easy to set up. Have printed from iPhone and iPad without issue. Replaced an inkjet printer which seldom worked without having to go through gyrations to make it print.

So many different options, I Love how we can connect our mobile phones and print off our phone, the print quality is perfect, very easy to use and excellent purchase. Very happy I bought this Laser Printer!!

It prints fine if it feels like connecting. We got it for the convenience of wireless connection and it has only worked a handful of times over the couple of years we've had it for our home. It's connected to a strong WiFi signal and I'm using it's preferred Brother app, but that's not enough for it. I've tried all the wireless options to connect and what worked the last time doesn't work the next time. So I carry my laptop over and plug it into the USB cord that I leave hanging off the side, there goes the convenience. And that doesn't always work either! I have wasted so much of my life trying to connect to this thing that I'm getting rid of it. Don't buy unless you like wasting your time and money.

I have owned at least 15 Brother MFC Printers over the years. I had several small business locations and Brother was all I used and they work great. All my printers were approximately 5 years and all went out within a week of each other except 1. I replaced all printers with new Brother printers. The last of the original printers finally went out in early August. I replaced it with this printer. The printer started to jam after a few weeks. The problem got progressively worse until I had to return the product. Today I exchanged for another printer same model though. I was able to print 20 pages until the printer started doing the exact same thing. Printer is jamming every time I attempt to print. I'm using 20lb Hammermill Copy paper. So frustrated because I now have to return this printer and find another one.

Horrible to set it up. It only worked for a few months and then quit! I have updated it, spent lots of time and effort and doesn't work The feeder option stopped working all together. Scan/copy from unit works randomly. I bought this for my business, thinking it would speed up the work...but it doesnt..just a pain to make a copy or scan an item...and the feeder just quit working I wish the manufacturer could assist with such.

I chose this printer because I need to scan documents from home and I could make a lot of black and white copies for a low cost because the ink cartridges are very reasonably priced. The first one I had for about a year and it was fine until it just stopped connecting to the internet. I thought maybe it was a fluke and it was great while it lasted so I bought a second one. Same model and everything. I have had it for about a year and now this one is giving me error messages too! My HP color printer has lasted 4 years and is still kicking. I am going to try a different brand :(
