I replaced Goodyear tires on my wife's Acura TLX with a set of Michelin Defender2's. I also replaced the OE Firestone tires on my mother in law's Jeep Compass with the Michelin Defender2 tires. My wife and Mother in law immediately told me that their vehicles ride way better, handles better, and it is more quiet in their vehicles. As for the design, I love the way Michele tires look on almost all vehicles. All I can say about the construction and materials is that the tires appear to be made well. I am 53 years old and have never had a Michelin tire let me down. So I trust Michelin enough to use their tires on my family's vehicles. The ride is so smooth and the noise level is so much better than the tires that were on the car when I originally purchased it gently used. I use the car when taking my parents to their doctors appointment and both of them commented about the difference in the ride and the cars handling in taking turns. My brother always recommends Michelin, and my dad was impressed by the name drop and said “there the best”. The tread is top notch and the warrantee impeccable, they seem well constructed. I live in a state famous for its potholes and having the worst roads in the country, and these tires have handled the heavy construction zones of nearly every highway being in constant state of repair but never ever being done and always ending up worse than when they started “improving” them.

This is my fifth or sixth set of Defender 2 tires. These are the only tires I will by and recommend to family and friends. I live in New England with warm hot summers, rainy spring and icy and snowy winters. These tires are GREAT! And with an 80,000 warranty and Michelin standing behind it - I love the tires.

I had Michelin pilot sport tires on my 2018 Camry and loved them in every aspect . But didn't last very long. I replaced them with the Defender 2 and not real impressed. They handle well decent on wet roads(haven't driven in snow yet) but I think to me they are noisy compared to the pilot sport tire. Had them for 7000 miles now, would I buy again not sure at this point. I really liked the pilot sport better all around.

My first set of these tires came with the car when I bought it new. I put 55,000 miles on them before I replaced them. Back in the day, I would have driven until I had a flat, but no more. I could have put another 5 K on them, but safety first. Also the traction was a little off.

Great tires for both winter and all-season. I have been buying this brand for my 2 cars and every time the performance is great. My gas consumption has been good compared to when I was using the heavier Bridgestone brand. Tip: buy when they have a promo on to save even more (that is if the need is not urgent).

Needed new tires for my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. They had Continental tires on them previously. The first and only tire I considered were Michelin tires so I researched SUV tires and chose the Defender 2. What a great looking tire and solid ride and feel.

I used to have Hankook tires on my Honda Civic. They only lasted about 30k miles I had two sets, the one from new and the replacements. Both lasted only 30k and I drive very conservatively. I noticed that my wifes Acura has Michelin tires and has not worn them out after 100,000 miles. So that is 3X longer than my Hankook tires. So now I have Michelin Defender 2 tires and I like the stiffer ride they provide.

I bought a set of 4 to replace nearly 6 year old tires that were constantly losing air. I've using them for 3 months. At first they seemed overly responsive to the steering wheel, but I have adapted well to this, I think. I also drive an old Nissan pickup and the contrast is marked. The review I read in a national consumer journal was correct.
