Nice at first, but every time I rotate they handle poorly. They seem to overinflate after driving on the highway and are atrocious, worse after about 30000 miles. I would throw these on a minivan, not an Avalon. If you don't care about ride quality or handling these are your tires.

The Defender LTX M/S 2 is a good tire, not a great tire. They are a noisy tire. They are not much less quiet than a AT tire. This new design is not as quiet as the lower design. When cold they vibrate alot. I'm not very impressed with them. I think Michelin needs the rethink the design for road noise.

Love the Michelin Defender 2 tires! First purchased a set for my wife’s car. When it was time to replace tires on my car, no question which tire to go with. The tires have a smooth ride, but also grip the road well. Great traction in both wet and dry conditions.

I installed a set of four on my 2006 Mercury Montego Premier and the handling, smooth ride and i have notice increased gas mileage. I been using Michelin's on my cars for over 35 years and will not put another brand tire of my cars. They have never failed and have given my excellent mileage wear, I usually have to change tires because they are to old and have become hard.

I would not drive my car without Michelin Tires (and I have two Cars) since I purchased the car new in 2006. I have all ways purchased the best tire they make for my cars and have had nothing but the best ride and performance I could get from tires. Never had a tire that was defective and I have outstanding mileage performance from the Michelin Brand.

These tires deliver a smooth, quiet ride that genuinely impressed me. They look fantastic on the vehicle—sleek and stylish without compromising performance. And the tread warranty? Unbeatable. It’s rare to find this kind of value and peace of mind in one package. Highly recommend!

I love the performance of my tires. Have been buying michelin for years and will not change. Matter of fact I put these on my 2017 honda in April and got a new honda in june. I insisted they switch the tires off the new vehicle and put my michelins on it which they did

Just bought these tires for my VW Atlas because they have been great on my wife’s car, but have been disappointed with how they ride. I expected a smooth ride but you can feel every bump in the road throughout the car. At first thought the tires were not balanced, but went back to the shop and they checked to confirm the tires were balanced. I would by again for my wife’s car but not my VW.

Factory tires had worn and was time to replace. Did lots of research before buying and these seemed to fit my needs (Quit, smooth ride with a good tread life.) The Defender 2 has not disappointed. Minimal, if any road noise, smooth ride and excellent grip in rain and snow. You get what you pay for and in this case, these were a bit more than others, but well worth the money spent.
