Came from KO2's

I've had these for about 10,000 miles now and they still look new. I came from 285/70/17 KO2's in E load range on my 4Runner, and I've got the same size and also E load of these now. I had the KO2's for 60,000 miles and would absolutely recommend those to anyone who is on the fence about them. But, for what I use my vehicle for, I decided to try mud terrains on my daily driver. I was very anxious about that, and oh man. These tires are perfect. They ride smoother than my previous tires, and somehow my road noise is a bit less also. They are fantastic on road, but off road is a night and day difference. I absolutely love these tires. I would 100% recommend.

BEST MT TIRE

I purchased a set of 35" BFG Mud Terrains a few years back for the first time and loved them. When I was ready to move up to 37's they were out of stock. So, I purchased a set of Discovery SST Coopers in 37". Good tire but I sold them as I felt that they couldn't compete with my KM3. SO now my FJ Cruiser and JK Rubicon are both sitting on KM3 tires. These are great for the daily drive and excellent on the rocks. My JK will now move up to 39" KM3s as soon as these 37's wear down and my dana 60’s get built. Needless to say this will no longer be a daily driver. Unfortunately, this isn't happening fast enough. But I absolutely love these, and I think highly recommend them without a doubt.

Not as advertised

I bought a full set of 5 for my Rubicon. I went with the LT315/70R17/ E 121Q tires. I wanted 35 inch tires and the Goodrich website stated these tires at 34.4 inches. I thought that was close enough. Got my tires and drove them for a bit and then thought I would just check the tire height. Imagine my surprise when I measure them fully inflated (37psi) at 33.0 inches even. Not even close to the 34.4 stated on the website. Love the tires, but wanted the tire height.

Great tire, but pretty expensive now.

I've ran the 39x13.5r17 KM3s for 2+ years and over 40k miles on my Jeep Gladiator. I've put these tires through all kinds of terrains and weather conditions from dirt, sand, rock crawling, mud, rain, hail, rock crawling in thunder storms and they haven't let me down. I keep rotate them every 3k to 5k miles and they have worn evenly. The side walls have been holding up great and the side bitters have provided plenty of traction when needed. The light weight of the tires is also a plus. My only gripe is these tires have gotten fairly expensive since I purchased them in 2021. The price has increased roughly by about $250 per tire. They are almosted priced near the cost of some 42s. Well known competitors 40s don't even cost as much as these 39s. With that being said it opens the door to try some of the top competitor's tires for about $200 less per tire. These 39s compared to most 40s make the 39s look like 37s because of the actual size.

Great till 20k

I agree with the user above the tires are great and you hit about 20,000 miles I purchased 10/2019 And just replaced got them at 31k miles just replaced at 60k with lots of tread left. The more miles you get the more wobbly kids and shaky it made me think my limit was off or something else was wrong now tired or replace not a single issue alignment was fine. It felt like the tires were going to shake off..

Confidentiality Sure!

I am the author of the previously titled Not Sure Yet review. We’ll I am pleased to tell everyone that after the remaining 3 tires were swapped and road force balanced, I am riding on a dream. Unfortunately I guess I got a bad lot of tires that seem to of had high spots on them. What those replace balanced it’s so nice to ride on new BFG‘s that are smooth, look great, perform great ad for a mud tire qiet on the road.

Why I bought these

Mostly because of the vid BFG made, showing the sidewall resistance to cuts and punctures. There are times when you cannot change a flat, cannot even stop, cannot avoid something sharp, and are fully loaded or grossly overloaded. When it's life and death. What's an extra hundred per tire against that? Others may be as good, but where's the video proof?

Exxcellent tire

I had these tires and after 40,000 miles they still had 20-30% tread life left. Rotations are critical with these tires i found and needed to be done at about 5000 miles. Just slightly more road noise then my KO2's were but did get louder as they got older. they worked great in all offorad contions, sand, snow, rocks. On the road they were also very good but needed a little more attention in the rain but its a M/T so expected.

Quality????

Before these km3s, I had 33” km2. I drove them about 30,000 miles and they were still in normal condition. I drive my rig everywhere, snow, rocks, mountains, swamps and sand. On my old km2 , there was uniform tread wear everywhere . But the time came and I decided to switch to 35“ wheels. I've been choosing which wheels to put on for a long time. I really liked the km2, but they are no longer being released and I decided to try the new km3. I assumed that this is the same as km2, but even better. As a result, I bought a kit and installed new tires after I made the bodilift. I drove on new tires for about 3-4 months. Everything is fine on the highway, they are not very noisy. It also seemed to me that the new tires are already old km2, although both have a width of 12.50. Now I live in California and apart from stones and sand, I haven't tried anything. These tires drive normally on the rocks. But as soon as you get stuck in the sand and even after a slight slip of the wheels, the rubber begins to crumble. A very large wear of rubber begins and right before your eyes you can see that the tread is getting smaller. Also, the tread begins to fall off. I don't understand what kind of rubber quality it is. I used to do the same with km2 and this did not happen. I don't have a very powerful truck and the smoke from the wheels is not coming at this moment. I was just trying to drive through the sand uphill. But the way these tires are falling apart stops me. And I do not know how long these tires will last me. Maybe another 3-4 expeditions?!? That's terrible. I will have to buy another set of tires soon, but it will be a different brand.

Zakhar, we are sorry to read of this situation. The first step is for us to obtain an inspection of the tires from an authorized BFGoodrich retailer. A member of our team will be in touch to work with you and your dealer on initiating a warranty claim.

Good All Around Tire

I have had the mud snow tires (31x12 x15) on my 1989 Sidekick and love them. They air down to 12PSI and take me where ever I need or want to go. They grip well off road on rocks but I try to not drive on the sidewalls, yes they are thinner but that makes them flex and grip well. Even in snow and ice they grip and handle better than any other tires that I have tried. I am getting a Jeep Rubicon and these will be one of the first things that get installed.
