First tried this cake just before Thanksgiving in 2021, took it to dinner and we’ve been hooked since. Too keep from eating it all yourself, I recommend slicing, separate using parchment paper, wrap in foil and freezer bags. Gives you a little self control with continuous access. Enjoy

The cake is good but the packaging has been changed. The cake is perched on some type of black-covered cardboard that becomes damp as the product is stored in the refrigerator. The lid DOES NOT fit. I purchased this product in August and the lid of the container fit in the grooves of the bottom of the container. The product I purchased this werk has no grooves in the bottom to hold the lid. The lid just sits on the bottom with no means of securing the lid which means air gets into the cake. Disappointed

I've debated about buying this for a while. There are only my wife and me, and I'm the only one who eats sweets. Believe me, I do not need to eat this whole thing by myself! Even if I could, I'd get sick of eating it before it became stale. Well, I thought I'd try to freeze it. It freezes wonderfully!! I cut it into slices and securely wrapped each piece separately, and put them in the freezer. To my delight, when I took a piece out and left it on the counter for an hour or so, it was perfect and still tasty and fresh. (Make sure you unwrap while it's still frozen, or the wrapper will get a LOT of the "soft stuff" stuck to it, which is almost impossible to "rescue!")

This was amazingly good......and I am so darn picky. I make all of my cakes from scratch, all f them very difficult. I refuse to buy store bought but something made me do it. We are both so glad I did. Next time I need a "special" cake, I will buy this again.

My first mistake was buying this bar cake through pickup. It was two days old and you could tell. I did not expect this since the description says the cake is made daily. The texture of the mousse and cake was just off. The mousse was more gelatinous and the cake was dry-most likely due to age. Still within sell by date but not worth the $ or calories sadly

This used to be such a wonderful cake, but the new packaging that no longer has the plastic bottom (it's now just the cardboard base) causes the cake to completely dry out. This was a recently processed cake and was opened within a few hours of purchasing, so not an old cake that had been sitting around. The new packaging also makes it awkward to open and close, but it's not really a big deal for me. However, I can see that anyone with even minor dexterity challenges could have a really hard time.. The other issue was that the chocolate mousse layer was only about 1/2 as thick as it usually is, and the cream cheese layer was maybe only 1/4 as thick. Hopefully just a temporary quality control issue and not a permanent change.

Wonderful, delicious, a family favorite for any celebration or just simply to enjoy or indulge! Layers of terrific yumminess. Easily feeds 5 in my family with seconds for all tomorrow. I'd say there's 10-12 servings, and I'm not being stingy- this cake is rich!

This was excellent tasting. Very rich and creamy. My only issue was that it was a bit cracked on side, but can't see how it could be totally avoided, since it needs to be boxed and shipped and if it had been packaged without space on sides, it would have had sides sticking to the container. The crew did a great job.

Great 33rd birthday chocolate overload cake for my daughter. Bought another cake that I thought she wanted, but discovered she wanted pure chocolate. This cake delivered in every way, in a pinch, on the same day purchased! Unfortunately, I was left pet sitting for several days while she flew to KC to watch our Chiefs win again, so I ate almost the whole thing!

If you like chocolate cake buy it! If you love chocolate cake buy two. This is the absolute best chocolate cake I have taken it to work events and family celebrations and every time it is a huge hit! Hesitant to write this because I don’t want it to sell out 😂
