We got these hoping we could get away with not having to use an ice pack (because we know they would get lost). Unfortunately they don't stay as cold as expected. The inserts don't stack nicely like the original ones when storing them. Also, I would have liked if they opened completely like the other ones. The pros would be the clasp seems more durable and the compartments sizes are better for bigger kids. It fits nicely in the Bentgo backpack which thankfully has a zippered compartment where we put another ice pack they can't lose. Overall it's a great little lunchbox, I think I just got so used to the old ones it will take some time to adjust.

It was smaller then I had anticipated and you can really put like dressing or condiments in the little sections be it might not leak outside or even inside but when you open the lid it’s all sober the top of the lid and it then slides down the back of the lid but that’s kinda hard to prevent so it’s ok. Other then that I love the fact that the ice pack keeps her lunch cold all day. I do wish there was room for a drink so her drink stayed cold also.

Almost perfect, but a few issues I have come across. Overall, the lunch bag portion works... literally if it is a Bentgo product being used! If you need to use an ice box and use a box that is thicker, it gets rather cozy. Another thing is even when using the Bentgo boxes in the lunch bag area, the zipper tends to snag on the plastic materials. Not sure if it's a QA issue with mine. Overall, my little girl loves this backpack. We tried it out on a long weekend trip and she looks forward to using it when she starts Kindergarten and continues to bring her lunch with her.

We love these backpacks for our younger kids! Our boys used them from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. We also loved that there wasn't a separate lunchbox that was taking up space in their backpack with their homework and books. Only complaint is that the drawstring on the water bottle pocket get worn out fast, would much prefer elastic.

Quality product at an okay value. Freezer (Ice box) part thaws out quick, but does the job for the hour or two needed. Shipping (actual getting the product to be shipped) took forever (7 business days), then it takes another 3-4 business days for it to be picked up and hit the shipping carrier.

My daughter loves her new bookbag. She's in kindergarten and it's not like those small bags where you can't fit much inside. This bookbag is big enough to fit her folder, books and even her lunch bag when she doesn't feel like carrying it. Plus it has an extra zipper compartment in the front. I use the built in lunch bag for three things her purple unicorn lunch container, sometimes a pair of changing clothes, or my daughters snack so that she doesn't get it mixed up with lunch. You can actually use the bottom for whatever you want. My other daughter keeps her cosmetics bag in there.

My kids love to carry lunch in those lunchboxes, say it's very tasty. Backpack are practical and good looking. And having one in two totally makes sense - no to extra bags. Love it, highly recommended. But A4 fits not ideally. One folder possible to fit with adjustment, a lot of things such size - not really.

Bentgo really thought of everything when it comes to the design of this backpack. There’s a thought about every component from the space for the water bottle and the bungee to keep it in place to the space below for an ice pack. I couldn’t recommend this backpack more. The lunch box keeps everything cool/warm and the compartments keep foods separate perfectly. The quality is through the roof. Money well spent. We got the sports themed combo and the colors are vibrant and I can tell this will wash beautifully.

Easy to clean, easy to close with or without the ice pack inside. My 3 year-old is able to open it by herself. The icepack weighs down the bottom so that the whole thing doesn't flip back when the lid is open. Food compartments are big enough for finger foods and mini sandwiches. I bought multiple trays and prep the lunches at the beginning of the week. I've even taken it to work for lunch myself, and the food stays cool enough by noon without putting it in the fridge. I do put it in an insulated lunch bag.

I was looking for a backpack for my son who was about to start his preschool. The main criteria was for it to be spacious, high quality, accommodate A4 folder and have a place on its side for a water bottle. This backpack meets all these criteria and even more. I love the idea of a build-in lunch bag! It’s super convenient!
