Bought these for my wife's 02 explorer sport. Wanted a tire to handle slick wet roads and slight off-road conditions. Tires have preformed beyond expectation. I even took them through truck size mud holes to see what they could handle. Tires held grip very well and tread stayed clear of debri. Same for snowy roads, good all around performer. I feel better knowing that my wife is riding around on tires I can depend on. They are amazing and suprized me with their rough and tough ability even though they look mild mannered.

I have a 1998 GMC Suburban. After I wore out the factory tires at @ 25,000 miles that came on this vehicle when I bought it new. I then decided to get Michelins, from past experience. I have over 180,000 miles on my truck. I am on my second set of Michelins and still going strong. I get a consistent 70,000 to 75,000+ on these tires. You do get what you pay for absolutely. I drive a Ford F250 diesel to Mexico and back each year pulling a 10,000 lb trailer so tires are important. I am into my third set of Defenders which realistically last about 75,000 km before tread wear begins to be an issue for long distance travel. Of the 15,000 km per year I drive the truck, half of it is pulling a trailer. I choose these tires not only because Ford recommends them but also because they give me very good fuel economy even pulling a trailer (17 L/km pulling and 8 L/km not pulling).

I'm 69 and have used Michelins exclusively for as long as I can remember. We have 2 vehicles, a1996 Ford F-150 and a 1997 Ford Expedition. These vehicles have a combined mileage of close to 400,000 and have been Michelin equipped since new. The tires wear like iron and yet offer an extremely comfortable and quiet ride, providing superior wet weather driveability.

I have 38,000 miles on this set and it’s time to replace them. This set is on a GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4. I drive 90% city and 10% dirt roads and no towing. I was pleased with the quiet comfortable ride. However, I was very unsatisfied with how unevenly they wore down and the short lifespan.

I'm being driving since I was 19 years old and I experienced with several type brand of tires and I can honestly say that for me, nothing better than Michellin. This set of 4 tires ( LTX M/S ), FOR MY SUV; it's the best ride confort and sastisfaction I have experienced and I will not change tire brand: For me, Michellin only. Thank you.

Excellent on road manners...my 92 Jeep xj feels new again! Yes a bit more expensive up front, but wear pays for the extra expense...they wear like iron...I have Michelins on my work truck as well. My wife's Passat is also ready for some new rubber...she got 65k out of the last pair of Micheline MXV4 Pilots and I can probably wait till spring, but with winter coming, I am going to replace them...with Michelines of course!

My new GMC 1500 Denali came from the factory with Bridgestone tires. I asked the dealership to change out to Michelin that I had been running various models on my trucks for over 30 years. They declined and said the Bridgestone tires were "just as good". At 186 miles, on the freeway at 80 mph the left rear Bridgestone completely came apart. It delaminated like retreads do on tractor trailers. I was able to pull the truck over, put on the spare and drove back to the dealership I've never had a tire come apart like that. After a bit of a discussion with the Sales Manager the dealer persuaded GMC to replace the tires with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Couldn't be happier. The tire is quiet, handles like a dream and I don't worry about the quality. "Just as good" means inferior in my mind.

These tires were original equipment for my 2009 Honda. My current ones have 90k miles and are finally being replaced. Super traction in the snow, I never had a problem, and I live in NE. That is 5 hard winters of driving and I can count on one hand the number of times my vehicle traction control actually came on. Remarkable. Another storm coming, time for some new sneakers for the truck.

After purchasing another brand, I turned around and bought the michelins like I should have. Smooth and extremely quiet ride. I got 80,000 miles from my last set. Gravel roads don't chew up the tread like on other brands. Worth the money in the long run.
