My local service station ...

My local service station talked me into another major brand of tire to replace my worn LTX Michelins. I developed a wobble in the front end of my Chevy Tahoe that I never had before. They balanced the tires, rotated them, did an alignment, shocks, etc. and could not cure the problem. Finally they replaced the tires with a new set of the same brand and I still had the wobble. I finally took my truck to a Chevy dealer and they told me the tires were out of round. I replaced the tires with new Michelin LTX M/Ss and never had the problem again. That was 70,000 mile ago and they're still in great shape. I'll always use Michelin. Great tires!

Disappointed

When I originally purchased my truck it had the LTX MS. They lasted a total of two years and about 35000k when they were so weather cracked I was afraid of them blowing. As the truck was 2 years old had them replaced under warranty. Three years later and 45000k, again they were weather cracked. As they no longer make the straight LTX , I had to have them replaced with the defender LTX MS. They pick up stones like no ones business. If it wasn’t for the mud flaps I would be repainting the bottom half of the truck. A terrible amount of road noise to boot. They do perform almost as well in winter , but not as well as the original LTX. These tires have been on a year, and if I have to replace them again in a year or two, I may be navigating out of the Michelin line..

Michelin M/S

I have had the original M/S on my SUV for 9.5 years 110 kms.best tire I have ever had I finally replaced them 2 yrs ago and they seem to just as good so far.Whether I will get the same performance and time is yet to be determined but have been very pleased to date.Live in Atlantic Canada so we do get a lot of snow but I have had no problem to date with performance.

Perfect for most drives.

These tires do pretty good in most conditions (dry wet snow dirt). They are comfortable and pretty quiet. The only issue I had was when it was wet, and I had to accelerate quicker than usual the front tires word spin for a second but breaking in the wet conditions was fine.

Best tire I've used yet

Replaced factory 4Runner tires with these and love them. Smooth, quiet, with good traction. My only complaint is there is not a 275/70/17 option which would allow a clean fit without having to modify the 4Runner at all, which is necessary with the 285s. If you made a 275/70/17 it would definitely be my next set after these.

using MTX/MSA tires on a 26' R V

we have a 26 we have a 26 ft. class c motorcoach, we use 7 tires, and are very senstive about tire care especially air pressure, we are overloaded on the rear 4 tires and as instructed we keep 80 psi in those tires. we purchased new tires 3years ago, they found on the inside of the tires a noticable amount of dry rot, the tires were 59.5 months old they had 23,000 miles on them. ;

I am on my 2nd set of LTX ...

I am on my 2nd set of LTX MS tires now with over 140,000 miles with 60% tread currentlt on my 2005 GMC Sierra. I can't believe I get 80,000 miles on a set of tires! I prefer the smooth ride of the GMC over the Mercedes, in fact I almost always drive the GMC. Need;ess to say, I am sold on Michelin!

Great tires

Bought these tires about 2 weeks ago for my Toyota Tacoma (2001). 265/75 R16! My truck rides so much smoother now and the tires are really quiet! The steering is easier too! We had a couple of hard rains here and the tires were great in it! They seem to grip the road so much better now (dry pavement)! Now if they last as long as stated, you must buy these tires!

Much better than OEM my ride came with; extremely happy

I've always trusted Michelins but my truck came with a different brand when purchased new. I wasn't happy with the OEM tires, especially on wet roads, so I switched to the Michelins. Since my switch, I've been extremely happy with the ride and performance, especially during inclement weather. Why would anyone want to ride on inferior tires? Buy a set of Michelins and feel the difference.
