I made ground beef tacos last night. I had purchased the Old El Paso crunchy kit plus an extra packet of original seasoning. I've used Old El Paso products before and was not concerned. We used 2lbs of ground beef to make the tacos. They were so spicy (hot) that it was a struggle to eat them, and not just for me I don't have a high heat tolerance, but I've purchased this before and never had a problem. Has the recipe changed or could it have been mislabeled product?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A “tried and true” for making taco kit style tacos. Honestly I “doctor it up” with onions, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and oregano most times. Buts it’s a quick dinner staple, I always have a packet in the pantry.

Everybody in my family has been using Old El Paso seasoning mix way before I was even born (I'm in my 30s now). We're obsessed, but something has changed and it now tastes spicy and metallic. We assumed we got bad packets, but every packet has tasted the same and it's awful!!! We've tried several other brands, but nothing even comes close to how good the old El Paso used to be. Wish there was a warning before the drastic change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this all the time for making tacos and other Mexican dishes, prefer it to the generic brand. It has a good mix of flavors, makes taco night super easy! Doesn’t seem to clump up like some other brands do. Not spicy at all

I used to ONLY ever have McCormick... tried this on a whim... this is my new go to! Love the flavor, I dont know what it is that they do differently but it is really really good. Used half a packed to season some rice with a can of green chilis... delicious! Now they just need to make it in a big canister instead of packets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for tacos and chili ! Make chili twice a month and tacos. Two of our favorite meals! Little packet goes a long way. Different varieties some low sodium which is great since we have to watch our sodium intake.

I decided since my family lives tacos to buy a bunch a packets, but these packets compared to the packets in the taco kits are completely different they are different colors and they smell different. These packets made our tacos yellow and mushy they tasted terrible, i had to throw it out and go with the packet in the hard/soft kit. Why are they so different? It is very weird.

The flavor is amazing, I've bought other taco seasoning packs (cause I looks at prices) and I have learned that SOMETIMES with some items you can't go cheap! Love me some Old Elpaso
