I like the flavor, but I wish there was less heat to it. It burns my tongue and the back of my mouth. I have extra sensitive taste buds, I guess. I don't like capsaicin type heat. Chili powder heat is fine. I don't recall that the seasoning used to be so hot.

I got this brand of taco seasoning as it was only one of two brands in store. But as the second ingredient is corn starch I won't buy it again. The McCormick Original Taco Seasoning Mix, 1 oz., 12 pk. is much better but Sam's only ever has it for shipping and never in store. But Sam's has been disappointing me on many levels lately. And of course it won't even let me add pictures. Nothing new there.

Love this packet, it's can be used all by itself or at times add additional spices to my meat! I use all the heat levels too depending on wants that meal! Consistency of powder blends well with the meat. The Aroma makes you hungrier. And dissolution is simple. Flavor perfect for tacos.

I think this is the best I've found in the pre-mix category. Great flavor and easy to use.
