Flat top isn't so flat
I just bought this griddle, easy assembly. I wanted to get it set up properly before I went out and bought the propane. I noticed the griddle surface was not flat, it bowed in the middle so I couldn't get it really level. How would food cook in the oil if the oil always went to the sides? I am very disappointed, it isn't like any flat top I have ever seen.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear that you got a misshapen griddle top! You're absolutely correct, the griddle top should be flat! The hex nuts on the rear legs of the griddle top allow you to tilt the griddle top forward, to help the flow of grease into the trap, but the griddle top itself, should be flat. All Member’s Mark items carry a 100% member satisfaction guarantee. Members mark 22 inch griddle
This is the perfect size griddle. I purchased it for my RV. I seasoned it up and as I was seasoning up got done I thought you know what let’s make breakfast so I busted out some eggs and onions and peppers and potatoes and grilled it all up and it was fantastic easy clean up. A great great value I have without naming I have a smoker I have a gas grill I have a full-size griddle and this was strictly bought for the RV but I can see using it in the backyard. I bought a conversion line so I can use a 5 gallon two in Lou of the 1 gallon I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love this girl.

Fair for the Price
Used this griddle for 9 days while camping. Cooking 2 meals or more on it a day. Went through 7 one pound bottles. Highly suggest adapting to a bigger bottle. This thing chews through the propane. Cooks well but does lose heat quickly when using water or pans for smash burgers. However it makes a mean breakfast. Would recommend if your not interested in spending Blackstone or name brand money.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Your feedback regarding the adapter has been passed along. We hope you get lots of use out of your griddle. Happy grilling!
Tabletop griddle poor condition
I purchased this product for a Fathers Day gift yesterday. He opened the box today and found the bottom edges rusted and the cook surface mottled and in poor condition. Though the box was filled intact and factory sealed, the griddle looks as if it's been sitting out in the weather for months.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear about the issue with package damage leading to the grilling arriving in less than perfect condition! Good news is that the griddle top can be fully restored! Begin by removing the griddle from the burner box, dampen the surface with water. With protective gloves and steel wool, scrub the areas of concern until the rust has been lifted from the surface. Rinse the surface thoroughly. Do not allow griddle to stand in water. Dry thoroughly. Follow the full SEASONING steps outlined in your manual. Nice grill except……
The grill is nice. Easy to season with high heat oil except in the corners of the griddle. Portability is really nice too. My only complaint is the warranty. Instruction book says 1 year warranty which is fine except my propane gas connector/went out and I called for warranty replacement. They wanted to charge $16.00 for shipping the replacement. Are u kidding me? At that price you can go online and buy a new one with shipping included and have money left over for an ice cream cone! Warranty services is a bit disappointing.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Your feedback regarding the cost for shipping parts has been noted. Your feedback is important to us.
good griddle if you tweak it a bit
this is a decent grill for this type at a great no-name-brand price but some important notes: 1. it comes coated with some 'oil' that stains everything black. scrub this off. you don't want it on your food. take it outside with a good scouring pad and some soap and hose it and scrub it off until the griddle is completely gone. 2. 'season' the griddle like you would a cast iron pan. lightly coat it with oil. turn the burners on high for 30 minutes or so. turn it off and let them cool off. repeat 5-7 times. if the griddle feels sticky after it cools off, burn it again without applying oil. because of the uneven heating it might take a bit. alternative, fit the griddle in your oven and season it in there. oil on top surface only! only clean it with water from now on, no soap! 3. get a 1lb to 20lb tank conversion hose. ideally one with a 6' or longer hose. this griddle will devour those 1lb tanks. a 20lb tank is more economical and less waste. 4. only use wooden or silicone tools on the surface, metal will scrape off your seasoning. 5. a hand-held IR thermometer can be useful for checking temperature. mine hits just over 600 over the burners, but 250-300 in the far corners on high after 15 minutes. easily make breakfast on this, grill burgers, it actually makes good hand made pizzas if you tent foil over the top and watch carefully, i heat it up medium-high for 20 minutes, slide a 12" or so pizza on with a wooden peel, watch until it's done and pull it off. great camping or tailgating!
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. There are a couple of things you mentioned that I wanted to go over:The Members Mark Griddle is pre-treated with soy oil as a protective coating following manufacturing. This coating may leave a discoloration on the griddle top. This is normal and will not affect the seasoning process. Before using your griddle for the first time, complete a burn-off. Start the griddle and operate for 15 minutes on HI. This will “heat clean” the internal components, griddle surface, dissipate odors and rid the surface of any foreign matter. Then simply follow the seasoning instructions in your manual. The 22" Tabletop Griddle is designed to be used with a 1lb propane tank only. Any attempt to connect a different regulator to any connections other than the included connector would void your warranty and could result in fires, explosions, injuries, or property damage. This griddle is NOT convertible to any other fuel source or LP cylinder size.Thank you for your tips about making pizza, that sounds delicious! Happy grilling.
Great Quality For The Price
If you're comfortable with cast iron cookware, you'll be fine. The rolled steel is very similar to cast iron, just maybe not as resilient as cast iron, which has more carbon. With this type of cookware, if you take care of it, it'll take care of you literally forever. Seasoning is the absolute key. Pro tip - the directions tell you to turn the burners on HI and add oil with a squirt bottle and spread around -- don't do that. My suggestion -- just coat it with the oil and pop it in a 425 degree oven, upside down, for an hour. The house will get smokey and your eyes will burn. But, that guarantees an even heat while seasoning for the very first time and not burning the oil by applying it to a 600 degree griddle which will stain it. After an hour you can do successive seasoning treatments on the burners. Directions say to do 5 rounds of seasoning. I think that's excessive. Lodge pre-seasons their cookware with one round of oil and heat. The real seasoning comes from using the griddle. It will only get better with time.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are so happy to hear that you're enjoying the Member's Mark 22" Tabletop Griddle. We do not recommend seasoning your griddle top in your oven. If you find the recommended temperature of "HI" to be too much during seasoning, we recommend lowering the temperature on your grill, rather than moving the griddle top to your oven. (Especially upside down.) The required amount of oil in order to season the griddle top would pool and could cause a grease fire in your oven. Not to mention the smoke and burning eyes you experienced! Also, you mentioned seasoning the burners. NOTE: NEVER apply anything to the burners including oil, lighter fluid or anything else other than water for cleaning. The burners are the source of the flame and applying anything would be a fire/safety hazard! To Season the Griddle Top:1. Clean the griddle top with a damp cloth to remove any dust/dirt.2. Apply oil to the griddle top, sides and corners. Use a paper towel to coat surface thoroughly.3. Light the griddle and set control knobs to the “MAX” setting. (Adjust temperature as you see fit. Keep it hot enough to get the oil to a smoking point.) 4. Heat the oil to its smoke point. You will notice the griddle top changing color.5. When the oil stops smoking, repeat steps 2 to 4, about 5 times, until the griddle surface becomes dark. (Do not cool Griddle between seasoning steps.)You are absolutely correct regarding the seasoning bond improving over time. With continued use of your griddle, the seasoning bond will get better and better. However, we also recommend applying a coating of oil at the start and finish of each cook, to help maintain seasoning. Never use soap to clean the griddle, this will destroy the seasoning. Never pour cold water on surface, as this can cause the surface to warp.Hope this helps!

Great Griddle, Cover Doesn't Work
Great griddle however the cover doesn't keep rain off the griddle causing it to rust.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Your absolutely correct, the dust cover is for protection during storage and trasporting. It is not an all-weather cover. It does not protect against elements. The appearance of rust spots on the griddle top, is an indication that the protective seasoning has worn off and must be repeated. To restore the condition of your griddle top:Begin by removing the griddle from the burner box, dampen the surface with water. With protective gloves and steel wool, scrub the areas of concern until the rust has been lifted from the surface. Rinse the surface thoroughly. Do not allow griddle to stand in water. Dry thoroughly. Follow the full SEASONING steps outlined in your manual (pg. 21-22)Hope this helps!
