No more ladders si I found these on sale at Sam's
Decent quality product, but through shipping and (IMO, sparce packaging, just a box with no added protection the ends of all the guards were severely bent up which added a lot of additional time to my installation. I like the dual fastening option although I opted for attaching the guards with the supplied screws. ( I'm sure the 3m adhesive straps would lasta long time but at 80 years old I don't want to have to climb ladders ever again to maintain my gutters . I will probably be purchasing more of this gutter guard in the future so I can have gutter free from debris on my shop building as well. Install was relatively easy except for this old man.having to climb up and down the ladder SO MANY TIMES To attach to my home which has a total of 156 feet of gutters
DIY Must!!
I purchased a kit to replace older/weaker covers. Along the backside of the house. For the price, this is it!! I was so pleased that I ordered a second kit to complete the house. The covers are as promised and sturdy. I like the adhesive strips which aided in installation. All hardware was included, and I can't think of one negative. Just hate I waited so long to purchase and install. I really don't understand all the negative comments listed here.
Just a great product
What an experience this was. I blew out the gutters before I began, for the last time. I had to remove nails off the front and top of tiles to lift them. I used a flat head screw driver to begin removing them since my hammers claw couldn't quite grip them. Once out far enough with flat head screw driver, I was then able to remove the nails using the hammer. I took up a soft piece of styrafoam to sit on while on the roof. That sure did help. I took out all the nails first, for each section that I was going to be working on. Then laid out the amount of sections needed. Once I got the hang of lifting up the tiles, it was pretty easy to get them to sit. Some of the tiles were a bit difficult and all I had to do was sit back a bit off of them. I screwed everyone of the sections down, using at two and 3 screws on the trouble ones. Since I didn't have a decent pair of tin snips to cut when needed, I used a jig saw and it worked great. When the screens seem to not fit right where the sections came together, I used a very long flat head screw driver to get up under the straighten them out. I just wish my mom would of let me put those in 10 years ago, because that's how long I've been blowing the debris out of the gutters.
Glad I did it
Received Gutter Guards a week ago and decided to put them on the gutters last Sunday. It was fairly easy to do. Both ends were a little bent on most pieces so with a pliers I fixed each one. It just took a minute on each end to straighten that out. I cleaned the edge of the gutter as per instructions and used the tape method. There were a couple spots that the tape would not stick due to the tape on the Gutter Guard being twisted around. Where that happened I simply used one of the included screws. Last summer I had small maple trees growing in the gutter until I was able to get up there and clean it out. It is 12 ft high so it was not so easy to do. Problem solved!
Excellent Product
I received my Stainless Steel Gutter Guard yesterday and I installed it on my detached garage today. You could tell as soon as you opened the box you knew it was a quality product. This product is the real deal, don’t waste your time and money buying any other “gutter guard system”!! It was incredibly easy to install and after it’s installed it looks and functions the right way. I’ll be ordering more to do my home next. 5 out of 5 stars!!
Great Product!
This product was packaged well and shipped promptly. The construction was great except for a few minor bends at the end corners. They were easily repaired with pliers. I had a basic install on 5" gutters. The guard perfectly fit over the drip edge and the gutter. I had to tighten a few hangers and move a couple that had stripped out of the wood to maintain a constant distance. I generally used the glue strip but screwed a few that mounted at an angle were the glue would not hold. I am very pleased with the DIY installation.
Good quality product
I have been looking at putting up some gutter guards for years to stop the pine needles from plugging my gutters. I decided to give this product a try on one side of my garage for a year to see how it works before doing the rest of my gutters Pro's Good price, fast shipping and well packaged Quality stainless steel product - should last for years I am not the most mechanically inclined DIY person but was able to figure out the installation fairly quickly. Was able to figure out the bending of the gutter to fit it into my eave condition. Con's Connection issues between each panel during installation - wasn't exactly sure what to do with the overlapping screen material at the ends of the gutter run and between each panel. Cleaned my gutters well before using the applied 3M tape to install and after the first rain the tape popped loose which means I have to put more holes in the gutter by screwing them down with self taping screws. Not happy with tape!
So far, so good!
I bought this product a couple of months ago. I live on a country property with many mature trees, and my gutters would get clogged regularly. I have a metal roof, and the installation was straightforward. I had to back out the row of roof screws closest to the gutter, slide the guard under the metal roofing, then screw the metal roof back down and screw the guard to the front edge of the gutter. Tip: If you slide one edge of the guard under the metal roofing first, then work your way to the other end pushing in as you go, the guards slide in much more easily. My gutters used to overflow all of the time from even smaller clogs. But since I installed the guards, it hasn't happened once. And,we've had a very wet spring here in the Missouri Ozarks. The guards seem to be made of quality materials, so I expect them to last a long time. So far so good!
Good so far!
Just installed these gutter guards last week. Easy install and they seem to be well made and sturdy. Got them installed just before major leaf drop! So nice to not have anything in my gutters this time. Time will tell if these help in the long run. I'll try to remember to come back and report after a year.
Good Quality
