I have them in my bedroom and would recommend them for this room or maybe a dining area or living room also . The frosted finish gives them that relaxed mood . I love this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked that this light bulb had a large base (not chandelier) so there were many more uses in my house than just for a ceiling fan. The shade of light emitted was not the stark, bright blue white, but more of a golden glow- but not yellow. It provided a good reading light and filled a portion of the room with adequate lighting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this light bulb for a small lamp I have for which a regular size bulb was too big. It only uses 5 watts as opposed to the 40 watts a traditional bulb uses! Also, it doesn't get hot at all which is great and a lot safer I feel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my GE replacement bulbs on yesterday and started using immediately. I love the warm, nice and gentle atmosphere they give the room. I placed one over my stove in the kitchen and the other in my walk-in closet. These bulbs are not too bright and are really great for smaller places. They are also very sensitive on the eyes.

I bought these in the summer and 2 have already blown. LED lights are supposed to save money so, I spent more to change out my lights, but the savings is already blown. The others will have to NEVER blow in order for me to come close to saving the amount in electricity for other types of bulbs. I put the old incandescent back in until I can get more CFL lights. Those blow about once every two years, but not in two months. Not happy with LED bulbs. So for you eco friendly savers, you may be lucky, but I am not. The savings is not there.

It's a perfect amount of light to see properly and it doesn't affect my headaches. My electric bill is also the same so they are pretty efficient bulbs!
