I bought this on October 10, 2016. The product label stated that it was triple washed so I did not wash it. I noticed some grit in as I was eating it and did not finish my salad. The next day I decided I would wash it before eating it. As I was taking some of the salad out of the container I found what I'm quite sure was bird excrement in it. I am totally appalled and disgusted. I returned the product to the store for a refund. The people in customer service at the store were in agreement as to what the foreign matter was! Really!! How could this have been triple washed!!?? I am having a hard time eating anything after this awful experience! I feel there is no excuse for this negligence on the part of Taylor Farms. Every time I think of this I feel sick! Totally disgusting!

I grabbed a handful of salad to wash and it had many aphids or something ALIVE in it. So I washed & soaked, rinsed, rinsed & put the rest away for another day. Got it out again last night to washed the rest of the container..... FULL OF BUGS! It’s a good price, but be sure to wash in something other than plain water. Vinegar solution or mild bleach solution...something!

I normally love this product, but the last two times I've bought it - and the purchases were two weeks apart - it's been spoiled, and long before the expiration date. The first time, on 10/2/22, I opened it on the day I bought it, to fix a side salad for dinner. It was spoiled The smell was overwhelming and the exp. date was still over a week away. Not worth $5 to drive all the way to Sam's to return it, so I threw it out. Thinking it was a one-off experience, I bought it again on 10/15/22. Exp. date is 10/22/22. Yesterday (10/18/22) I went to fix a salad for lunch and once again, I opened the container and there was an overwhelming and nasty spoiled stench, with the exp. date still days away. And the salad looked bad as well. Again, not worth $5 to drive all the way to Sam's to return it. But very disappointing that twice in a row I've purchased spoiled, unusable salad that was a week or more before the exp. date. I won't be purchasing it again anytime soon.

We used to love this, but the last 4 times they have had wilted leaves mixed in, and it gave out a bad smell, even 4 days before "best before date". We returned one and decided to try one last time. It was the same rotten slimy leaves mixed in. Never again.

It's been good before. They must use whatever weeds are in season. This time 50% dandelion weeds. They are edible but taste like poo. It will literally make you through up. Also sand and bug excrement. Not washed. I am returning this to Sam's tomorrow and will never buy again.

At some point in the past Sam's had an excellent organically grown mixed greens salad product, but this current Earthbound Organic mix is basically junk. I have bought it at least 10 times in the past year and it keeps getting worse and worse. Currently the leaves of the various lettuces are chopped in small pieces, are crammed in to the plastic box too tightly, and are much too wet even when bought with a far out expiration date. There are slimy leaves even when I first unseal the box and it only goes downhill from there. Even if I wrap small bundles of lettuce in paper towel and repackage it all in other containers, it still goes bad very quickly, like in 2-3 days. I would rather pay more for a better product than throw away 2/3 of the box as I am doing now. Less lettuce, drier and not stuffed in a too small box would be my request. Thank you.

Every time I buy this it's dripping wet and when I open it up to use the salad greens, even two days later and days before the expiration date, it's a soggy slimy mess and I end up throwing at least half of it in the garbage. What a waste! I give up and am never going to buy it again!

This is a different product than the stores carried and it's such a downgrade! The old brand would stay fresh for days! I've bought 3 boxes of the new brand and each one goes bad faster than the last. I had to pick through multiple boxes just to find one that wasn't already slimy IN THE STORE. This goes bad too fast to make it a good purchase anymore.

My local Sam's recently switched back to this brand for the spring mix. This mix never makes it to the expiration date before getting slimy. I blame the purple leaf lettuce. The other "Local Bounty" brand had super crisp lettuce pieces and zero purple lettuce and always lasted a long time. It was also from neighboring state. Please switch back! This one is slimy from Day 1.
