Great Mix

5 STARS..... yeah just TRY to buy this size at other stores in organic!! Geez! Okay besides the other suggestions, i remove the leaves, put a paper towel on the bottom, fill 1/2 way put another then fill the rest and one on top! Paper towels do wonders for all leafy produce!!!

My local Sam's recently switched back to this brand for the spring mix. This mix never makes it to the expiration date before getting slimy. I blame the purple leaf lettuce. The other "Local Bounty" brand had super crisp lettuce pieces and zero purple lettuce and always lasted a long time. It was also from neighboring state. Please switch back! This one is slimy from Day 1.

I have been buying this for years to fix salads for lunch. The last 6 months I have seen a decline in the quality. When I buy it on Sunday and can't get enough mix to make a quality salad, that's bad. I used to get a whole week and I still get the mix with the date still good. I have even thrown the mix out by Tuesday.

I grabbed a handful of salad to wash and it had many aphids or something ALIVE in it. So I washed & soaked, rinsed, rinsed & put the rest away for another day. Got it out again last night to washed the rest of the container..... FULL OF BUGS! It’s a good price, but be sure to wash in something other than plain water. Vinegar solution or mild bleach solution...something!

Brought this three times. 1st week OK mix of sweet and very bitter green, second week very good mix of sweet and mildly bitter greens, and third week so bitter i had to spit out. And I like some bitterness. Gave someone who had complemented second week's to try and she had to spit it out too. Had to throw out.

I bought this on October 10, 2016. The product label stated that it was triple washed so I did not wash it. I noticed some grit in as I was eating it and did not finish my salad. The next day I decided I would wash it before eating it. As I was taking some of the salad out of the container I found what I'm quite sure was bird excrement in it. I am totally appalled and disgusted. I returned the product to the store for a refund. The people in customer service at the store were in agreement as to what the foreign matter was! Really!! How could this have been triple washed!!?? I am having a hard time eating anything after this awful experience! I feel there is no excuse for this negligence on the part of Taylor Farms. Every time I think of this I feel sick! Totally disgusting!

I normally love this product, but the last two times I've bought it - and the purchases were two weeks apart - it's been spoiled, and long before the expiration date. The first time, on 10/2/22, I opened it on the day I bought it, to fix a side salad for dinner. It was spoiled The smell was overwhelming and the exp. date was still over a week away. Not worth $5 to drive all the way to Sam's to return it, so I threw it out. Thinking it was a one-off experience, I bought it again on 10/15/22. Exp. date is 10/22/22. Yesterday (10/18/22) I went to fix a salad for lunch and once again, I opened the container and there was an overwhelming and nasty spoiled stench, with the exp. date still days away. And the salad looked bad as well. Again, not worth $5 to drive all the way to Sam's to return it. But very disappointing that twice in a row I've purchased spoiled, unusable salad that was a week or more before the exp. date. I won't be purchasing it again anytime soon.

It's been good before. They must use whatever weeds are in season. This time 50% dandelion weeds. They are edible but taste like poo. It will literally make you through up. Also sand and bug excrement. Not washed. I am returning this to Sam's tomorrow and will never buy again.

I bought this a couple of days ago, 4/16 to be exact. I'm so disappointed. I found bugs! There was brown ones and green ones. Dead ones and even live ones. Never had I had this happen to me. It was so infested. Honestly did not know what to do. Was not sure if I needed to call the store or just trash it. Did not think this was normal but it's never happened to me so I literally just thought about throwing it away.
