It's a dryer....

I bought this to replace an older dryer. It gets the job done, however, the sensor dry setting leaves the clothes slightly wet (I'm guessing that this is part of the energy saving). Once you get to know the settings you can play around and dry the clothes to your liking.

Worst experience ever!!

Worst experience ever!! I bought it August 24th and still haven’t been able to use it!! First the door latch faulty. Waited two weeks for that to be fixed only to find out it doesn’t heat up?!! I waited two weeks for someone to come out and tell me it needs a part to fix the heat , that is still on order? No repair scheduled yet. No dryer!!

Great dryer at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer for my mother at the beginning of this month and had had it for about three weeks now. We love it. It is quiet and dries the clothes completely. I was a little skeptical at first given some of the reviews, but we have found none of the problems have been our experience. This dryers moisture sensor technology has performed flawlessly. The first time we used it, we were surprised at how quickly the drying cycle completed. We were sure the clothes would be damp and we would have to run the cycle again. Not true. They were completely dry. The large capacity drum has been very helpful. Some of the reviews state objection to the cycle completion tune being too offensive. We had no problem with the tune nor felt it was too loud. We are pleased with the drying setting choices and find them to be adequate for our needs. Over all we are very pleased with our LG DLE6100W Dryer and complement LG on the design. We highly recommend this dryer based on performance, features and price.

My dryer: I like it a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few weeks ago our very old gas dryer gave up the ghost, so. . .already having an LG washer, and being very pleased with it, we bought the LG electric dryer because of LG’s reputation and reviews. . .and our experience with the washer. The dryer works well, but takes a longer time to dry than the 20 year old gas dryer. Other than that, it’s simple to operate, has a satisfactory capacity, and cheaper to operate (for me because I have solar panels on my roof). I hope it will be better for the environment as well.

Heating issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the dryer for several months and have to keep checking to make sure it is using hot air. It will run but sometimes I don't know until I got to check on them. It will just keep running because the clothes are getting dry on the sensor side. After changing the cycle a couple of times it seems to work itself out or for whatever reason will start using the heating element.

Not built to last, product reliability!

I bought this dryer approximately a month and a half ago. At first, we loved it, but then it stopped getting hot and only blowing cold air. It took a week and a half to two weeks to get a technician out to fix it. Now it rattles all the time because he had to take it apart to repair it. At this point I would not recommend this product! My last dryer lasted 20 years without a problem.

The dryer is good. I like the features and touch controls. The only thing I hate is the Flow Sense. My home has a long exhaust vent, so the dryer stops working after 10-15 minutes because the flow sense detects that issue. I had to return it to the store because I couldn’t find an option to disable the flow sense option. 5 out of 5 for the rest of the dryer. The lint tray, the door, features and modern look.
