Outstanding Dryer

We love LG products, our Washer lasted 15 year before replacing it, that is why we add this dryer to our household. Our old dryer never got hot enough and had to run very long to dry our clothes, not our LG, it takes half the time to dry them,

Does its job.

The dryer does its job. The timer does not count down, so unless you look at the time you put the dryer on, you don't know how much longer the cycle will take. Also, no light inside the dryer, which my previous dryer had.

Hi! We appreciate you calling this out — your LG DLE6100W dryer is clearly getting the job done, but that timer behavior and missing interior light aren’t the experience we want you dealing with. We’ll make sure your feedback gets over to the product team so they can keep refining future designs. If you need anything else, you can always reach out to @LGUSSupport. ^James

Dryer Redeemed

So just putting this review to counter an earlier one I did where I crapped on this dryer. So after months of struggling with our dryer, we had our roof vent replaced with a DryerJack vent by In-O-Vate and our dryer is working like a dream. So far it's drying at full capacity and temparature is holding good. Noise levels are where they should be. Overall it's a good dryer now that the venting is completely clear and got the right parts.

The dryer works fine and holds a lot but I didn't realize it was so basic. No drum light no wrinkle release and no timer. There is only 20, 40 and 60 minutes. I wish I had realized this before I bought it and I would have bought the next one up.

This is not a good feature

This dryer generates a lot of heat. It warms the floor so much that it gets moisture in front of the dryer. Not happy about so much heat putting moisture on the floor.

Hi, Bon. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review regarding your LG Gas Dryer, model DLG6101W. We recognize your shared experience with the heat levels and moisture condensation appearing on the floor in front of your unit. To help prevent hot, humid air from escaping and condensing on your laundry room floor, we suggest inspecting the exhaust duct connection at the back of the dryer to ensure it is tightly sealed, completely unclogged, and not kinked, which can cause moist air to back up. Additionally, cleaning the lint filter before every cycle and checking that the external exhaust vent outside your home is opening properly will help maintain correct exhaust airflow and keep heat within the ventilation path. For more detailed support regarding temperature and airflow management, please refer to our helpful troubleshooting page at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-electric-dryer-rh8wa-the-product-becomes-hot-while-drying--20154629490529?srsltid=AfmBOoprox7YMwQjAltnIm0Nd4zK94YciSBZFJudezG7gkBw7FQRuztT. JUST WANT A-WORKING DRYER

My dryer worked for about 10 loads. Dealing with LG has been absolutely a challenge of my sanity. We FINALLY got a repair man to come and it was the delicate igniter. Now we wait another 10 days for part and another appointment for repair. The repairman was was good, and I have no complaints about him. I do NOT want email sent to me or calls from Chatbot or AI !!!

Hi, Donald. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review regarding your LG Gas Dryer, model DLG6101W. We recognize your shared experience with the igniter issue, the scheduling of your repair appointment, and the communication you have received. To help ensure your dryer functions safely and efficiently while you await your service visit, we recommend verifying that the external exhaust vent hood outside your home is completely clear of lint, debris, or bird nests, which will allow for proper airflow once the heating components are fully repaired. Additionally, keeping the internal lint filter completely clean before every load helps protect sensitive internal heating sensors and igniter assemblies from overheating. We want to help ensure your laundry setup operates perfectly and comfortably for your household. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com if you need further support. ^James

The most HORRIBLE lint trap of all time!!

The dryer works about as well as a dryer should. However, the settings are really weird. When you use the ‘sensor dry’ settings like ‘normal, heavy duty, delicates, etc you are unable to change the heat setting at all. That leaves the manual dry time options of ‘60, 40, and 20 minutes (plus air dry) where you can adjust the heat settings. I dry all my clothes on low for 60 minutes and unfortunately that means I have to always run it twice. Wish you could do a sensor setting on low. The noise and vibration is pretty loud honestly, but I knew that you get what you paid for so I wasn’t really that bothered by anything that I just mentioned. The biggest problem however, is that the lint trap is THE MOST inconvenient and unthought out feature that I have ever seen on an appliance. When you take the filter out and clean it, little bits and pieces of lint stick to the outer rim that are very tedious to get off. Fine, whatever. Not a huge deal. But there’s all sorts of little crevices and pieces of metal for pieces of lint to get caught and stuck in and with the opening being about an inch wide it’s impossible to get them out without using a tweezers. Today after having the dryer for about 6 months or so, I realized just how deep that lint trap is—IT’S VERY DEEP AND IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN OUT. I clean that thing out (or try too) before every load, and I just looked down into there with a flashlight and the amount of buildup down there is insane and I genuinely have no clue how I am going to get it out. Maybe it’s just me, I was used to having a dryer from the 90s that worked forever and the lint trap wasn’t such a pain to clean out every time. But I don’t think they gave the design for this lint trap any thought before approving the design and going ahead with it. Excuse me while I find something that I can makeshift into working for cleaning this ridiculous thing out!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Hi. We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding your LG DLG6101W Dryer. We recognize your experience with the preset cycle temperature options, sound levels, and lint trap maintenance on your unit. To help clear lint from deep within the housing, please use a narrow dryer lint brush or vacuum hose attachment, and check that the dryer feet are level to help reduce operational sound, or view our helpful guides at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-noise-from-the-dryer--20154774023458?srsltid=AfmBOooincE53ZxepNSW3RIvQbJGh5j-H70yKYNj3li1k3RmN1Ldknu0 and https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/combo-unit-lint-issues--1337695812363?srsltid=AfmBOoqbZ-u-AwSBRJscsY-rFTvXCp2-R3WdvEk1QuUuAajgqNWOEnhk. Poor Drying

Since it was delivered the sensor in the dryer has not functioned as it should. Even when put on Very dry it will frequently leave them damp. LG sent a service man, he stood over it for 30 minutes, declared all worked right and left. It still does not dry well on any of the preset settings, Normal, Permanent press, etc. He said we just have to use timed dry!!! Then why is there a sensor??? Not happy with LG or the dryer.

Hello. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLE6100W Dryer. We recognize the situation you have faced with the sensor cycles leaving items damp and the general drying performance of your unit. To help improve the sensor accuracy, we recommend wiping down the metal sensor bars inside the drum with a damp cloth and a little rubbing alcohol to remove any residual fabric softener buildup, as well as keeping your load sizes consistent. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any purchase that I have made in my 60 years. The dryer did not function properly yawls repair people could not fix it and y’all decided to refund my money. I have been in contact with your presidential liaison team for the past three months, trying to get a refund check and everybody keeps passing the book and I have still not received my refund.

ALL the Sound None of the Dry.

This model is the base of base models. I regretted this purchase the first time I ran a load of laundry! This dryer is the noisiest with loud chiming at each end of the cycle and intermittently if you don't take care of it right away. There is NO way to turn off the sound. The sensor on the dryer senses the clothes are dry after only 30 minutes (at best, even if I run a time dry cycle.) I am on the third run of my current load. There is also no light inside the drum to help you see to get the clothes out. The "Normal" setting does not allow for a temperature change. If I want a temperature other than medium I have to change the setting. The only pro is that there is ZERO "SMART/ AI/ WIFI/ APP anything to it.

Hello, Tedie. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLE6100W Dryer, and we want you to feel confident using the features that help you get the drying results you’re looking for. This model uses sensor‑based drying, so the chime you’re hearing at the end of the cycle is part of the alert system, and the Normal cycle’s temperature is preset to protect fabrics. If you prefer more control, selecting a manual cycle like Time Dry allows you to choose the exact temperature and duration. You can also review how each cycle and option behaves here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-common-noises-during-the-dry-cycle--20153081341056 If you’d like us to take a closer look at your unit or walk through settings that may better fit your routine, feel free to email us at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com.
