The posts that act as hinges attaching the lid to the main body of the lunchbox are the same brittle plastic and too small for the weight of the whole thing, which is surprisingly substantial. Maybe not an issue for most adult users, but my son managed to break the lid off on the second use, without even knowing he'd done it, or how. (He thinks it broke while latched when a friend dropped his backpack.) Going back to lighter-weight plastic options: not insulated, or at all watertight, but cheaper and more durable.

I learned of Bentgo lunch boxes from my grandkids - all those snappy colors. For myself I tamped down the inner child and bought the adult Bentgo Modern Lunch Box. Good choice! It holds a sandwich, nuts or fruit in one small section, and a salad or snack in the other. With the extra divider I can add a fourth item, but I have not found that necessary. My office cohorts commented how cool this box is! It is compact, travels well, acts like a cooler with insulated walls. High quality, high class. Nothing extraneous. It is just right!

This is the best lunchbox I’ve ever had. The airtight seal with separate compartments is what makes it so special. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it would be better if it had a way to keep the contents cold. (And maybe came with a carrier?)

We live the lunchbox and space, however the divider easily comes out and our 11 year old who we bought the box for threw out BOTH dividers for the orchid and white on accident when she was emptying her leftover lunch contents at home. This wasn’t caught in time and trash had already been picked up unfortunately. Not sure if additional dividers can be purchased or not.

Overall, I l am loving the Bentgo Modern Lunch Box. It works as described on the website and has been instrumental in helping me to develop healthier eating habits. However, there is one thing that is incredibly disappointing. The outer shows fingerprints and smudges anytime it is touched, even with clean dry hands. This is annoying and really detracts from an otherwise beautiful design. Hopefully, they will correct this with future iterations of the product.

I'm a huge shopaholic and this was my best purchase of 2023. I use this every day for work, and love that you can remove the bento part and put it in the microwave. Super easy to clean and helps me eat more balanced. Every. Single. Food. Item. Fits. I've had other bento boxes and none are as sturdy as this one.

LOVE this lunch box for my toddler. It’s beautiful which is a huge bonus, but my favorite qualities are: - easy to clean - keeps foods separate with the dividers so nothing mixes in transit - perfect sized compartments for balanced food options - the freezer squares, lunch box, and bag are a great trio! it’s sleek! - i know this will work for a long time which is important!

I got the mint green and it's a beautiful color. This box is significantly bigger than the kid size. So far, no leaks which is great. One negative: The outside surface is almost too smooth that it's hard for me to have a good grip on it. In fact, the first time I used this box, it slipped out of my hands. I have to be very careful when handling it.

Was looking for a replacement for the metal lunch boxes we’ve used and loved for years. My kids’ school recently purchased metal detectors and the metal boxes were slowing them down. This proved to be an excellent alternative with the right amount of space for my secondary students’ lunches.

Bought this to try as a replacement for the kid Bentgo because the kid version gets mold around the plastic seal inside. We wash and dry daily but have had this problem with a number of the Bentgo boxes. We love the compartment sizes and that they do not leak into each other. Like the smooth look.
