Good size and nice unit but...

Good size and nice unit but the drain for the self defrost freezer freezes up and water leaks into the refrigerator section making a mess. You must check the drain in the freezer section every month or two to make sure it is clear. The water from the freezer should drip into the plastic pan in the back. The water then dissipates from the heat below. Do not block the fan in the freezer with freezer items.

A shrinking refrigerator!

I bought this online (due to store closings during COVID-19) almost a month ago and as suspected it is a tad smaller than my previous Haier refrigerator bought in 2002, and it also kept freezing products in the refrigerator section until I finally got the temp adjusted. Haier has replaced the two smaller crisper drawers with one large one. Not an improvement as not all fruits and veggies should be next to each other in same drawer due to some releasing ethylene gas that speeds up spoilage in others. I saved my old drawers to use instead, although there is now a 3/8" gap between top of drawers and shelf above. Also, a custom shelf in door for s gallon of milk is not appropriate as anyone using a 9.8 cu. ft. fridge is most likely a one-person household and would not drink that much milk before it would go bad. This shelf also protrudes into the interior of fridge and robs it of precious space.

DO NOT BUY

First one lasted a year before it started making horrible noises and failed. Second one freezes anything in the back third of the fridge, but can't keep ice cream frozen. Poorly designed, shelves not tall enough to accommodate a standard half gallon of milk or bottle of juice.

Don’t do it!

We purchased this for our little pool house that did not have air. All we had in it was beer, sodas, water, Gatorade, etc. everything was exploding or frozen. If we turned it down one number on the dial it wasn’t cold enough. We thought it was due to the temps outside but that isn’t the case. Now we have it in our garage against an interior wall. It’s still doing the same thing but now my top shelf becomes a sheet of ice. We cleaned it out and started using it for our chicken and duck eggs but now it’s freezing and cracking all my eggs. It’s really only good for the freezer. But we only put popcicles and ice in it because we are worried it won’t freeze or freezer burn everything.

Compact in size but lots of room inside

I was looking for a compact refrigerator with one big storage drawer at the bottom. This unit fit that perfectly. I am a gardener and I use it to store garden goodies: peaches, pears, onions and butternut squash. With the arrival of COVID19 I was also looking for a place to store extra grocery items so that I would not have to go out to the store as often as usual. This unit fit the bill perfectly!

Tiny but mighty

This fridge exceeded our expectations. We purchased this little fridge for our garage. We had very limit space, and there is not many options out there. This fridge took very little space, but inside of it is very spacious and deep. It’s also very quiet. We’re very happy, definitely best bang for the buck.

Mighty Little Machine

I bought the smaller model as I am single and live alone. It does what it's supposed to do. For that I am glad. Light and easy to maneuver into place. You can nudge it when cleaning the floor around it, then nudge it back into place. No problem! I'm satisfied.

Small but mighty

The full size refrigerator 'died' and it would be several weeks to take delivery on a new one. We had wanted a small refrigerator and needed something immediately. Delivery 2 days later (weekend) and it was delivered. It was perfect to get us by and it will give us the extra space we were looking for. It's a perfect size for one person or at a vacation home.

Nice For Small Kitchen

Building Management bought me this refrigerator to replace one that broke at the height of a July heat wave. I was not too familiar with the Haier brand, and therefore had some concerns about its performance and reliability. I have to say, however, that over the past month, I've been impressed with this fridge. It's very quiet, unlike other affordable models I've used here and at friends' homes. Also, the layout seems well-planned. Unlike my last fridge, I can actually fit 14oz ice cream containers in the freezer door shelves. (The last refrigerator I had, though larger by half a cubic foot, would only allow "dixie cups" in the poorly designed built in freezer door shelving). The fridge compartment door, too, offers a lot of space for a variety of containers and packages, freeing up the interior shelving for other items. The LED lighting is sufficiently bright. This, too, is an improvement, as my last fridge's LED bulb was had less output than a nightlight. I also noticed the doors of both compartments seal nicely, unlike with my prior refrigerator, which seemed to have slight warping from day one that prevented a true seal, and allowed seepage of air, thus causing the motor to run more than it should. As I said, it's only been a month, and I remain concerned about long-term durability, as nothing made these days seems to be built with longevity in mind. I remember growing up with the same refrigerator from pre-school age in 1970, until junior high school, and even then it still worked, but didn't go with my mother's new kitchen color scheme. I guess those days of multi-generation kitchen appliances are largely over. Meanwhile, I've been pleasantly surprised with this refrigerator over the past four weeks.
