We are so sorry to hear that the side panels of your refrigerator are hotter than expected, and we can certainly imagine your worry. Your refrigerator giving off some heat is considered normal. We would recommend making sure that your refrigerator is getting enough air clearance, 1" on the top and sides, and 2" on the back of the unit.
