Great quality

I was very impressed with the quality of this machine and the attention to detail. I was thinking of replacing the wheels to eliminate some vibration but after looking at the wheels provided they are not "hard" plastic but have some flexibility to them which would be similar to run flat tires that I was considering as replacements. This machine has all the features that one would find in a stationary back up generator and once the current need for portable power has passed I intend to set it up as my sole back up generator. The dual fuel eliminates the concern for long periods of storage which has always been a concern. No time on the machine as of yet but I expect it to perform well based on the quality of the machine and other comments posted.

Gave us much needed support during Hurricane Beryl

During Hurricane Beryl, our Westinghouse generator proved to be an invaluable asset. It performed flawlessly and exactly as expected, providing much-needed relief during the power outage. Setting it up was straightforward and hassle-free. With its dependable power supply, we managed to keep our refrigerator running smoothly, maintain our AC for comfort in the sweltering heat, and extend a helping hand to our neighbor by sharing power through an extension cord for their fans. The generator's performance exceeded our expectations, offering peace of mind during a challenging time. If you're looking for a generator that delivers on reliability and ease of use, especially during emergencies like hurricanes, I highly recommend considering the WGen9500TFc!

Strong Build, convenient to move around

This is my first Generator, I am very impressed with the build. It is very strongly built. I was able to move around my yard very easily. The setup was very easy and within a few minutes, I was able to connect the propane tank and start the generator with a press of a button remotely.

WGen9500 portable generator

Having a back up generator is a must, especially if you live in an area where the power company may shut off power incase of wild fires. As I was looking for a generator, the Westinghouse Wgen9500 portable generator peaked my intestest. It had plenty of great reviews online and it’s very simple to use. After I purchased mine, I had to install the wheels and mounting stand. Add oil and gasoline. Then I fired it up! I tested it out by running an industrial 24 inch fan, a 10,000 BTU portable AC and a 5,000 Lumin flood light. All of the items were plugged in and ran flawlessly. The generator had no issue running. I would say that the generator does get quite loud, however if the whole block is out, I’m sure your neighbors would be doing the same by running their generators. The generator itself is very nice looking, and is fairly a good size that can be stored in a shed or inside of a garage without taking too much space. Overall, I have no complaints so far. This generator even has a push to start and wireless remote start. This review is coming from someone who has never owned or dealt with any other portable gas generators.

First Generator

This has to be the easiest piece of equipment I’ve ever assembled. Have not started it yet because I want to put the 5W30 synthetic oil in so it can run below 20 degrees F. I have read good things about this generator and I am looking forward to using it.

Quality generator...

After reviewing the numerous generators on the market and comparing, I narrowed my search and purchased the Wgen 9500. In short, it stands up to the competition hands down. And the best part is what you're getting for the price your getting it for. TY!

The Perfect Generator

Just purchased the Wgen9500Tfc last month. It came perfectly packaged, no issues ...and in great condition. Connected to my NG line and it cranked right up with nary a hitch or issue. Sturdy construction, smooth operation and clear instructions made this a very satisfying purchase.. Thank you, Westinghouse!

Great Generator, Issues with NG Starting

We bought this generator in November of 2023. We've had to use it twice due to power outages and both times it has started up and powered our whole house. Both times we ran the generator off of Natural Gas and had everything turned on except our 5 ton A/C unit. (As a side note, I have run the 5 ton A/C with the generator during testing and it did fine, but this was a mild December day in Houston, TX, not sure what happens on a hot summer day.) I am using the included 1/2" NG hose and plugging it into a 1/2 NG connection I installed for this purpose. I have ~50' of 3/4" pipe to get to the spot where I tie-in to my NG meter and it seems like there's enough gas/pressure to feed the generator. The biggest issue I have so far is the generator will NOT start up on NG fuel. I had to fill the tank with gasoline then cut over to NG and once I cut over it stays running on NG. Not sure what the issue is, but it's not the end of the world. I've done very little diagnostics and I have not contacted customer service so the issue might be a quick fix. I have gasoline on hand so it wasn't a huge problem for me. We would 100% make the same decision on purchasing this generator. I have friends who have bought 13000-15000 watt machines that are much bigger/heavier/bulkier. While big, this generator seems manageable and isn't too difficult to maneuver. The wheels are sufficient and the built seems very sturdy. It is big enough to power my whole house (2-story, 2500 sqft) so I'm very pleased. I'm only dinging the rating for the simple fact that it should work flawless right out of the box and unfortunately the NG start is flawed.

Nice Features

I bought this a month ago, and haven't had to use it yet, but so far I like all of the features that it has. The remote seems nice so I wont have to go outside to start it. The buttons, levers, and control panel is nicely labeled so I can find everything.

Just got it broken in.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and just got it broken in, then hooked up to the house and ran all appliances. I'm using natural gas to run generator and will only use propane as a backup or need more power, I'll never use gas as it will gum up the carburetor eventually. I have natural gas for heat, stove, water heater and dryer, tried heater and ran great. It was barely running at half load with everything running. I'll update when I actually have to use it for an emergency.
