Our son owns a WGen9500. They have had the opportunity to use it during a power outage. He said it did all you would expect, has great features - particularly the remote start. They have four boys, ages 3 to 15, and having emergency power was great. We could not ask for a better review or recommendation than that to base our purchase on.

I just bought this generator and actually was simple to pull out of the box and put together. Best part is all the connections and even the oil were included. Connect to NG and pushed the button and fired up right away. Have not used it much but seems to generate power pretty well. So far happy with the purchase.

Bought this to be a back-up generator to power a few things when the storms hit. Had no intention of running anything too big with it other than that. But this generator is a workhorse. It provides all the power I need to do anything I want. What is even better is when I was having an electrician install a couple of outlets in my garage, he saw the generator and asked if I wanted him to install a connection for it to run my house. I did not know it, but this baby has enough power to run my entire home in power outages. He wired it up, we cut the main power, and the house was powered by this generator. My electrician had nothing but praise for the unit. So glad I decided to follow the other reviews and buy this unit. I crank it once a week just to make sure everything is good (old fire department habit), and she runs like a champ. To be honest, I think I got more than I paid for. Thanks for this product!

I exchanged the generator I bought as Hurricane back up to get this power house that will be able to run my central AC and still have spare power for other electric consumers. Love all the different outlets and especially the RV plug. I have not started it yet but I am sure it will not disappoint.

I bought this a month ago and it is already leaking oil badly... I try to buy the same brand generators for my company, but after this experience, I may be looking for a new brand.... the only thing that may save Westinghouse's reputation with me is how they handle the warranty on this thing. fingers crossed they help me out.

Well designed unit and offers good value for the price. Had a problem with the remote fob. I was sent a replacement in 4 days. Only problem? Westinghouse offered a free cover for writing a review. Turns out they ran out of the covers. So no free cover. Come on Westinghouse, make some more and follow through on your offer...

I bought this for emergencies. So far there hasn't been any reason to use it, but we put it together and started it. The instructions were easy to follow and all worked as it was suppose to! I don't want to have to use it, but I'm glad to have it - just in case!

Picked up unit yesterday and put it together last night. Started right up and runs great. Put a circular saw on it for a small load test and unit barely even grunted. Runs a little bit loud. I thought it had the idle control feature but apparently it does not. A minor issue, but it would be nice if it had it. Overall very pleased so far! Unit looks very well made and runs like a champ.

I bought this a week ago and have not used it for a power outage yet. However, It started promptly with the key fob on the first attempt. No issues at all installing the supports, wheels, battery cables, oil and gas. Everything was included in packaging just as listed. I purchased based on the Westinghouse 3 year warranty and the positive review ratings. Even my wife is looking forward to the next power outage.

I did a lot of research into portable generators for our home and landed on the WGen9500. It offered the most essential features and greatest capacity for the price range which coupled with the Westinghouse reputation and dependability made the difference for me.
