We have been having multiple-day power outages after the recent storms, and since we live in a rural area, are usually the last to get power restored. The most recent outage lasted over 7 days, which meant no water from our well pump (for showers, or toilets), or heat (our home got down to 54°). Having to go to a restaurant to use "the facilities" or get warmed up was just awful. I was determined not to go through that again, so I bought this generator after reading reviews and consulting an electrician to determine the size. The remote electric start is a blessing since I am not as capable as I used to be. This generator meets the needs of my entire house without breaking stride, runs reliably, and I feel relieved that I can count on having power when I need it. This is definitely a purchase every home owner should have considering our aging infrastructure.

Order this on Amazon Prime and recieved it 3 days later, open box installed the wheels and feet . Installed the oil and connected the battery. Added gas and whalla! generator started and ran smoothly. Hooked up my transfer switch today and tried the remote start ,all good

Took about 30 minutes to put it all together. Wheels, oil stands for the front and add some gas. All together very easy. Used the remote to start and after a couple tries it fired right up. Took a couple to get the gas flowing. So far very good results, haven't tried NG or propane. Looks good and should be able to load up in my pickup with the use of ramps. I have a 5th wheel we'll use it with. Came well packed with no damage.

I have only had this generator for one week, but so far it operates exactly as described. It is easy to move around and operate. I was surprised at how quickly it was shipped. It got here in two days! The instructions were easy to understand and it is easy to operate. I reviewed a lot of generators prior to purchasing this one. I like the name behind it, the warranty and reviews from other purchasers. No problems so far!

I bought a Generac for my husband because I heard they were better. After seeing the wattage and price of the Westinghouse though, I immediately returned the Generac. After we set up everything, we realized we made the right choice. We even bought the Westinghouse cover for it. Best decision for our money.

I just finally got this all set up and running after a week and love it. I love the push button start and the remote start option. So easy. It was very easy to set up and get started. Took a couple try’s to turn over but that’s normal. This thing is powerful enough to run my whole house. I tested it. I’m talking all my plugs, lights, fans, and appliances. I brought this generator a couple of days ago and I am so glad that I did. The setup and installation was very easy to do. I love the remote start features and easy setup. Also, just a bit of advice, please adhere to the schedule maintenance for your generator’s life span.

I've spent almost a year comparing the different manufactures that are similar to this generators size. After many hours online researching and videos online, the Westinghouse generator is the only brand I will trust for the safety and well being of my family when our power goes out. I work for a utility company and I'm not home when the lights go out, so having a generator I can prep and have ready for my wife and kids is my top priority. The remote start is fantastic and works without hesitation and the fact that this generator is transfer switch ready means I don't have power cords running all of the place where my 4 year old and 1 year old are at risk of injury. I'm even going to get one for my father to replace his 20 year old generator because I'm so impressed with my unit.

Just received my wgen9500. Starts right up , has so many features for the price. Has visual gas gauge on top. Remote start, usb not sure if I would use that. But I could see my children being plugged in. Has a main breaker. My only issue is for the wheels it should be on one rod. It’s split. If that is my only problem with it I’ll take it.

The WGen9500 is easy to start even with the pull cord. I pulled it slowly to make sure everything was freed up and then the first quick pull it started right up. The generator is the perfect setup with the many different outlets and a 50 amp plugin. The remote start is a great addition for older folks. I bought this to replace our older Generac generator that has served us well through all of the hurricanes since 1996. The WGen9500 has the features I wish our Generac had with more power to boot. We decided on another portable generator instead of a standby unit due to flooding potential in our area. I have been running it each week to exercise it and make sure it's ready with all of the hurricanes we have had this year. It never struggles to start and is perfect for our needs!
