Extremely Impressed

We just got our new generator this week and are really impressed with it! It’s controls are easy to understand and outlets are clearly marked and I really like that they have covers over each type of outlet. Fuel select is easy to operate and I love the flexibility of the unit. We also are very impressed with the quality of the unit!

New WGen9500TFc generator

I just purchased my first portable generator. I was advised to buy a Honda or Briggs&Stratton. When I googled dual fuel generators, Westinghouse popped up. Did research on all three and found that the other two didn't have dual fuel generators. Bob Villa ranked Westinghouse third out of ten generators. Said the Westinghouse 9500 was best the bang for your buck. I picked it up six days after I purchased and looking forward to it keeping a number of things running when and if we lose power. Also be good to use at the deer lease.

It works, folks.

Simply put, I've done the research & just buy a Westinghouse. I've watched the YouTube videos, I asked my FIL, and I asked a buddy of mine who works in construction. Fellas, just buy this one--don't look elsewhere. It powers my entire house minus the HVAC & stove, but hey, in emergency situations (like when it snows once a year here in the south) I ain't complaining bout that.

Great Generator!

I just bought this generator and once I got my home connections installed and in place, the generator performed as expected. I am using the generator’s natural gas connection, and I used the 50-amp connection and powered my entire house, and it worked very well. I was able to turn on all the lights in my house plus use the microwave without any loading of the generator. I am very pleased with my purchase, and now I am ready to endure any power failures my utility company might have.

WGen9500

I just purchased the generator and it was easy to assemble. It started right up with the pull cord. Battery wasn't charged enough to attempt the electric start or fob features. I hooked it up to the transfer switch and it powered all the major appliances and still had more amps to engage our heat pump.

Great price with wonderful features.

I am very pleased with this generator because of (1) price, (2) features, and most importantly (3) It was connected to the home panel box by a contractor which operates the house A/C unit and the remaining essentials due to the amount of running watts.

does the job

This thing fits the bill. I am using it for intermittent power outages and it powers everything we need. It was packed well and showed up looking new like it should. Added the oil, used the included battery charger to top the battery off. Gave it some gas and it fired up right away. Its not excessively noisy for the price and size, it runs very smoothly. All the controls work well and the remote is a nice extra.

Excellent product

After spending a month of reading reviews and manufacture hiccups I decided to give the Westinghouse 9500 a chance. Its has been amazing. I've owned this generator for 6 months now and it runs everyday without an issue. I recommend this unit 100%. very well made in the USA.

Excellent Value and Build Quality

We bought this a week ago and are very happy with the investment. First the value vs RW of the machine is hard to compare to anything else on the market. The aesthetics even are very nice. Seems very well built and I hope it lasts for many years to come. Went ahead and purchased a 50 amp inlet, 25ft cable, and interlock kit for my panel. Will be very storm ready the next time neeeded. All this and really hoping we never have to use it but ready to be prepared and not be left in the dark (or cold). Gen was super easy to setup with clear directions. As others have stated have abit more oil on hand as it will take the whole can provided and a bit more. Started on first electric start, tested pull cord, and remote start as well. Turns over with ease and seems very quality manufacturing. Looking forward to completing the project and truly running a load test against the house.

Works great, will see how company fixes structural

Works great as a generator, some of the part locations are strange. But generator starts up easily and wheels and handle help with the weight. Had a frame issue out of box where wheel isnt flush but tilted and therefore rubs against the battery. Dont think I can hammer it out, will see if a longer pin and spacers make it work. Will see how Westinghouse handles this.
