After reading a few articles about how General Mills is returning to original formulations for some of their classic brands I was hoping Kellogg's would do the same for some of my favorite Kellogg's brands I had stopped buying years ago because of flavor and texture changes. On impulse I picked up a box of Apple Jacks which I hadn't done in 20 years thinking maybe they had reverted back to the vintage formulas. Dumb idea. Nothing's changed. In fact they were even worse. Smaller, no crunch and very insipid flavor with no cinnamon to speak of. I'm sure Froot Loops are still no better. as well. Cereal sales are TANKING, Kellogg's. Have you ever considered that you're your own worst enemy? Bring back the ORIGINALS!

I loved Apple Jacks as a kid, but when I bought it years later for my own kids I found it lacking. I loved that it had natural flavors, but the overall flavorfulness fell short. I recently decided to give it another shot and bought a small box. It was much tastier than last time I tried it. Maybe it's all in our heads, but my husband and kids and I believe it was improved. Definitely yummy enough to buy again---a bigger box this time!

What happened to the original Apple jacks that had a bunch of little red specks on it and was so flavorful bring back the original Applejackthese are smaller and they have no taste I grew up on Apple jacks in the '80s and I'm too disappointed right now.

I bought Apple Jacks for the first time in a year or so and my family (four of us; two adults and two adults) and I could immediately tell that something had changed about them. They seemed lighter in density, less sweet, less intensely flavored. Did Kellogg's change the recipe in some way? They're simply not as tasty as they used to be and didn't really taste that different from all those bland, "limited edition" cereals based on movies or whatever that appear briefly on the shelves. I can't see buying them again and I hope you restore their original recipe. If I'm wrong, and the cereal recipe hasn't been tampered with recently, please let me know. I was reminded of how Post Honeycomb seemed to have changed for the worse, we stopped buying them, and then a few years ago restored their "original flavor" and now all is right with the world.

The Apple Jacks rings are smaller than they used to be and don't hold up to milk as well. The flavor also isn't as remarkable as it once was. It looks like they now use the same machine parts used to make Cheerios. I hope Kelloggs at least considers reverting them to their original size. Half of the reason for eating sugary cereal these days is nostalgia.

I used to eat these in the 80s (and maybe 70s- can't remember when they came out)and now.....these are so disappointing. They are not at all the same. They don't even taste the same. They used to be a pinkish colour, fatter, and rounder and had a super good apple cinnamon taste. They have done to Applejack's what they have done to Fruit Loops... Made them smaller and tasteless! Way to wreck the nostalgia-feeling Kellogg's. Actually makes me sad :( Will NOT buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved Apple Jacks since I was a kid. The cereal is just as good as it was years ago. It has a nice crunch with a burst of apple and cinnamon. I eat it in place of sweets because it is that good!
