I bought Apple Jacks for the first time in a year or so and my family (four of us; two adults and two adults) and I could immediately tell that something had changed about them. They seemed lighter in density, less sweet, less intensely flavored. Did Kellogg's change the recipe in some way? They're simply not as tasty as they used to be and didn't really taste that different from all those bland, "limited edition" cereals based on movies or whatever that appear briefly on the shelves. I can't see buying them again and I hope you restore their original recipe. If I'm wrong, and the cereal recipe hasn't been tampered with recently, please let me know. I was reminded of how Post Honeycomb seemed to have changed for the worse, we stopped buying them, and then a few years ago restored their "original flavor" and now all is right with the world.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Apple Jack's definitely a classic must have cereal in the pantry. My kids love it with its apple cinnamon flavor. You can serve it will cold milk. Or pack in a bag for an on the go snack. Not over sweet either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Apple Jacks by far is the best cereal there is. I eat this cereal as a snack for late night instead of eating anything else. It’s good to put in a ziplock bag and place in your purse for a snack on the go.

I bought a box recently because i was craving Apple Jacks. I was excited about eating them because it had been a while. Very disappointed when I took the first spoonful I was very disappointing at the tast. It has a stronger cinnamon flavor and the rings were a long smaller. They weren’t as sweet. It had a favor of cinnamon gum. Never buying these again unless they go back to original recipe.

I got my son the snack sized Apple Jacks and they don’t taste the same. My son loves them but I won’t be eating them until the recipe goes back. They used to be so good and crunchy. And now they just taste like a cheap off brand. Bring back the original recipe

I haven’t had Apple Jacks forever, but just bought a box. What happened to those little cinnamon sprinkles that used to be on the cereal? See them on the picture, up there are absolutely none on the cereal. I think that is why the cereal doesn’t taste like I remember. So sad

My teenage son will just pour these dry in a cup and snack on them either watching TV or working on school work. This mega size box is a keeper. I would definitely continue buying this size if I could find it at more retailers. These are the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy.

My mom bought this and other kids' cereals when I was a child. For a while, as an adult, I was addicted to Lucky Charms. I had also tried Cheerios and Raisin Bran. Then, I chanced on Apple Jacks and bought it; it was still great and not as sweet as Lucky Charms or Raisin Bran, and it didn't taste plain like Cheerios. Then I saw the Kellogg's Feeding Reading, so Apple Jacks is what I buy now in the summer. I get at least 10 boxes that last a few months. Hopefully, next year, ordering books will be as easy as my first year; this year was horrible.

After reading a few articles about how General Mills is returning to original formulations for some of their classic brands I was hoping Kellogg's would do the same for some of my favorite Kellogg's brands I had stopped buying years ago because of flavor and texture changes. On impulse I picked up a box of Apple Jacks which I hadn't done in 20 years thinking maybe they had reverted back to the vintage formulas. Dumb idea. Nothing's changed. In fact they were even worse. Smaller, no crunch and very insipid flavor with no cinnamon to speak of. I'm sure Froot Loops are still no better. as well. Cereal sales are TANKING, Kellogg's. Have you ever considered that you're your own worst enemy? Bring back the ORIGINALS!

I bought these twice because my 8yo wanted them. supposed to taste like apples and cinnamon. they have virtually no taste. I thought maybe it was just me until my 8yo asked me what they were supposed to taste like. these things taste like nothing except sweetened cardboard. go ahead, change my mind.
