I've used Ultras for years! Everything has streamed smoothly and I've not had any serious issues with any that I've owned. I do wish that I could turn off or at least dim the light on the front, it stays on even in rest mode so I have to put tape over the one in my bedroom.

Enjoying everything about the new Roku. I don't lose channels as I had been. The only issue is that the volume switch, which sometimes when I press to lower the volume, will take the volume to 0. Sometimes, when I attempt to increase the volume, the volume just keeps going instead of incrementally.

Let me start by saying that I have about 8 different Rokus, and I really enjoy them all. I recently wanted to upgrade to another Ultra, so I did and was enjoying it, until one night my tv volume suddenly went all the way up to 100, besides scaring the heck out of me, I didn't know what was going on. So after checking everything from my tv remote itself to the roku one, to unplugging everything and replugging everything, it was just crazy. Come to find out it was the roku itself, and since the batteries are rechargeable ( which I thought I would love ) I couldn't just take the batteries out to try an reset it. Anyway it just kept doing it over an over so unfortunately I returned it and am hesitant to buy another. I love the ultra best, but I am not happy about the rechargeable batteries and the way it just went bonkers on me. It even raised the volume up to the max on another tv as i walked into the room. Like I said I have multiples of these roku’s, but am now hesitant of the newer technology.

I realize that the Roku device can be used to stream many platforms. I bought it specifically to serve my Spectrum account. I am frustrated that the Roku remote does not have number buttons, such that I could directly select channels; nor does it have a "last channel" button. Since I am paying for TV, I like to avoid commercials and flip between live sporting events. I would spend a lot of time using arrow buttons to move between channels, if I were to flip between live sporting events. At least the filter allows me to focus upon Sports, if I wish. I get that this device was intended to serve many streaming platforms, and that many streamers are looking for movies and specific shows (not specific channels), but I wish the remote could also better accommodate those of us who know what channels they want and who wish to flip back and forth.

My sister tried to get me to buy a Roku of years but my smart TV was great. Then I moved and hated the TV... supposedly smart but lots of apps wouldn't work and my headphones couldn't work and multiple controls and I couldn't plug in my hard drive and the streaming was slow. Anyhow the new Roku ultra solved all my problems. i love it and will be buying one for my parents soon.

Their equipment is crap and is guaranteed to have issues. When you contact customer support to try and get assistance all they will do is blame all of your other equipment including your TV, reciever, router & modem. Doesn't matter to them that the issues will happen when thousands of miles from home when in a hotel, they will still won't admit any issues or even do anything about it. My recommendation is to use any streaming device BUT roku. All 3 of my devices are going in the garbage where they belong!!

I got two. One works flawlessly on our living room Vizio TV, which is fairly new. But the one I connected to our much older RCA TV in the bedroom has a few quirks. Whereas the remote set itself up in the living room and just works, it took a lot of fiddling with codes to find one (for an entirely different brand TV) that would let me control the volume and on/off for the RCA. The volume and mute controls now work well, as does the power button for turning the TV on. But when I want to turn it off, I have to press the power button 8 to 12 times. Also, on YouTube videos, I can't hear the first few seconds of audio. Same with the commercials. I've read complaints about this online and there doesn't appear to be a solution. Battery life on the remotes is excellent. Considering how quickly our older Roku remotes eat AAA batteries, I was afraid these rechargeables would be short-lived since they are powering earbuds too. But I can go at least a week without a charge.

I've gone through two of these in about two years. They are great when they work but considering how long they last for the money you pay, they are junk. You're better off buying one of the less expensive models. They have fewer problems and work better.

This is garbage. I am a fan of Roku products, but not this thing. Sound cuts out all the time in Netflix. When watching HBO Max if you pause then unpause a show, it brings you several minutes back, to parts I already saw. Every day I have to unplug it to get rid of the black static sounding screen. Went back to Roku 3, old reliable.

I bought their big dog the 4802. Nothing but problems. Bad remote, kept losing audio and kept going to blank screen. Remote buttons kept sticking.They replaced main unit and remote. Remote is going bad again and the audio is still dropping out. I have to keep unplugging the unit to get it to work. I have two other Rokus in the house {the small ones} no problems
