We have purchased 3 Roku units already. The Ultra was a favorite until it started causing the picture to flash on occasion. I’ve looked up how to resolve the issue but it never goes away completely. Maybe this is a general issue with streaming. This never happened until we switched from cable to streaming.

The Roku Ultra is great to 4K Streaming. The Roku Ultra has the top streaming services to choose from plus so many more. The rechargeable remote seems to hold a decent charge, although the design can use improvement. The blu-tooth ear pieces deliver quite the impressive sound. The Roku Ultra can be paired to Amazon's Echo devices. If you have an existing Roku Account, set-up is quick.

I own 3 Roku Ultra's now in my home - Living Room, Bedroom and Basement. It is a customization heaven and the speed is scintillatingly fast! I just now discovered the Roku mobile app and the private listening that comes with it. I can now connect a bluetooth headphone through the app and listen to the audio privately. If you are an Apple family, this app does Apple Airplay so smoothly. I'll never move out of Roku Ultra for a very long time

I realize that the Roku device can be used to stream many platforms. I bought it specifically to serve my Spectrum account. I am frustrated that the Roku remote does not have number buttons, such that I could directly select channels; nor does it have a "last channel" button. Since I am paying for TV, I like to avoid commercials and flip between live sporting events. I would spend a lot of time using arrow buttons to move between channels, if I were to flip between live sporting events. At least the filter allows me to focus upon Sports, if I wish. I get that this device was intended to serve many streaming platforms, and that many streamers are looking for movies and specific shows (not specific channels), but I wish the remote could also better accommodate those of us who know what channels they want and who wish to flip back and forth.

The new Roku ultra has much better performance than old Roku 2. Improved picture quality, improved private listening through the remote that is now rechargeable. Old Roku 2 ate batteries like crazy using headphones. Overall I have nothing but perfect performance of the new ultra model

Great little remote too. My previous experience was with Roku model 3920X. Still working for years. Other older models purchased for my parents also are still working for years and years. Very friendly user interface, and as the title states, this box is fast. No noticeable lag in usability. I haven't used the voice commands much, not one to talk to my TV. But my tests were very accurate, no problems detected. My only dislike are the earbuds. Sounds like tin cans, no base. Haven't plugged in a good pair of headphones into the remote jack so don't know the quality. Had this about 2 months, no much use yet (installed in my RV) but haven't had to recharge yet so that's a plus. I'd purchase this again.

Love the roku ultra.Have other roku's have been using for years. Picture is super sharp and responsive. My only problem is my new roku ultra stops,shuts down and reboots. How do I remedy this? Tried everything I know. If I can solve this I would definitely give stars.

We have 6 tvs and 6 Roku's. 5 of them are Ultra's. We use them all the time and love how they operate. They are 5 Star except for one issue. This latest Ultra is connected to a new 85" Samsung TV, which is connected to a Yamaha Receiver via an Optical Cable and converter. The Yamaha is connected to Bang & Olufsen speakers. When playing the TV thru Cable, I can get incredible volume. This is not the case when playing thru the Roku. I researched this and found that others have commented on the same thing. I'm not sure what can be done about this issue, but it would be nice to get the same volume.

Set up and used for one week. Then the remote quit working (power and volume) with my TV. However, my old Firestick remote still functions with the TV and has never presented these issues. Further, support is difficult to navigate and find. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps and have nowhere to turn. Additionally, the return process is burdensome.

The Home screen shows ads on the left, below the menu. When you move to the channel list, the screen shifts left and now the right half of the screen shows ads. None of the marketing shows this. And in October 2023, Roku made changes to the Home screen that added a NEW row of icons to the top of Home, advertising channels. You cannot remove these or move them from the top. Very bad practice, shoving even more ads into a device I own, months after purchase. Do not buy.
