I bought this unit for its ability to play 60fps 4K videos and it does that very well. Aso it is fast and responsive... But, I wish it could adjust closed captions, both color, font and size that would override content *all the time* like an Apple 4K TV does. The settings work for some content and not others that only show subtitles as delivered by source or streaming app. I also wish the app menu was not so scrunched up into three rows only and not stretched out wider so all the most used apps can be seen on one screen without scrolling up and down, still one can get used to that easily...

Roku is fine. I have it on 3 TVs. Mistakenly ordered this one with rechargeable remote, which lasts a mere few days. Seriously, it will quit working every few days and it is completely frustrating. I do NOT like this remote and wish it were just a regular one.

I was surprised that it had no headphone output jack. Seems you can have either a headphone model or a backlit keyboard but not both. When you go to the streambox the screen is just a blank wallpaper with no home screen channels on it. My old one always went to the screensaver image. Trying to sign in to all of my ROKU channels was a nightmare. Had to go to every one of them and sign in. Hidden sound settings had me stumped for a few days. Still not sure what the modes all mean.

Had about a month now satisfied with everything except I can’t get my Roku remote to work with my Samsung TV Will not turn it on and off and does not control the volume. I called customer support and they stepped me through process but still couldn’t get it to work. They recommended a new remote and that still didn’t work. Would have given it a 5 star if not for that issue.

This device seems to take longer to change channels and when you leave an app and want to go to another it’s the slowest I’ve ever had. Actually I have a black screen for probably 20 seconds I’ve never had it take that long. I don’t know if I just got a bad one or what. I spent probably an hour and a half on chat with a woman whom tried her best to help me but her English was so bad I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat herself. I never did get the problem solved.

Loving my Roku Ultra. The screen display is very easy to follow and it wasn't too hard to figure out the remote, although it is a bit different from any other I have had. Was surprised then the TV screen told me my remote needed charging, a first for me. It charged quickly and I think I kept using it while it did. Didn't know what to expect from the Roku Channel, but have found some fun specialty channels there. Also lots of music channels; enjoying Christmas Classics and Christmas Jazz this month. I just have the most basic cable lineup provided at the place where I am staying now. But I subscribe to several streaming services and it was easy to add whatever ones I want to the Home Screen, or remove those I don't want. I also like using the voice command on the remote to find movies or other shows I am hoping I might be able to watch on one of my channels or services. It was very simple hook this up to the TV with the HDMI cable. (Make sure your TV has an HDMI port, or order something extra to adapt the Roku HDMI cable to a USB port or whatever port is on your TV.)

This replaces a Roku 4k. It has a lot of very nice features and is now our go-to source. We do AppleTV off it too, because the remote is so much better. But every so often it starts up with a loud clicking noise We have to unplug and replug to get rid of it. Others have complained of this. We use CEC through an LG TV to a Pioneer receiver. We have another one through a HisenseTV to an Onkyo receiver that turns on fine, but when we turn it off, it stops and then comes right back on. I have to shut down everything manually.

I got it so I could watch my tv with wireless earbuds and they worked at first, but stopped working. We took our earbuds back because when they stopped working we assumed it was the earbuds, but I am not sure if Roku had something to do with not working too.

This has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. I previously owned a Roku Express. It also worked perfectly for me. However, I wanted to upgrade to a Roku model that had more features. This model allows me to turn on and off my regular 4k HD TV, adjust the volume, mute, talk to my remote hands free, open apps, search for free movies by genre, year, actor, etc. Just about any way you can imagine. It also has a rechargeable remote so I don't have to keep batteries on hand. Charging takes about 2 hours and lasts at least a month. I simply cannot tell you how much I enjoy this new Roku Ultra.

I have a Roku Ultra 2022 and there are 3 annoying issues with it: 1. You can't stream Bluetooth audio and TV audio at the same time. It's either one or the other. Same behavior using headphones in the remote. This is really bad for those with a hearing impairment that might want to listen at a separate volume via headphones or hearing aids. 2. The white status LED is always on. There is no way to dim it or just turn it off. It's very bright and annoying especially in a bedroom at night. 3. No backlight on the remote keys. This makes using the remote difficult when there is very little ambient light in the room. These seem like no-brainer features that should have been included. I'll probably return it and try to find something else.
