First of all I'd like to say that I love the new bottle. However this time the one I purchased was defective. There's a small hole where there shouldn't be one and the soap leaks out. It left a big mess after sitting there over night. I hope this never happens again!

It's easy to squirt onto the sponge and into the sink and it bubbles and lathers so much! A little bit definitely goes a long ways and the scent is amazing. Such a good clean smell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for washing dishes or even your hands. It requires no flipping and opening the lid. All you have to do is take the foil part off and it's ready to be used. It doesn't leak at all and leaves no mess behind. The platinum is the best dish soap I have found to get those hard to clean pots and dishes clean.

First of all, I love this new redesign for Dawn dish soap. It's perfect! The other way (with the flip top lid) always got gummy and was just a pain in the rear end to use and then clean off and then not try to get dish soap everywhere and all over the counters and in the cupboard (especially with little kids eager to help wash up). So I really want to give this five stars. If I would have picked up any other scent in this product, I probably would have given it five stars. But unfortunately, I accidentally picked up refreshing rain scent and didn't realize it until I finally opened it this weekend. Every time I've used it I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from when I was running water. I thought that something had died somewhere in our pipes, or maybe there was something up under our sink that I had missed and hadn't completely scrubbed out. It was driving me crazy! It got to the point where I stopped using the dish soap, and just ran water to check and make sure that it wasn't anything in our pipes or in the sink; I switched to only using my power wash sprayer during that time (unscented). But the scent did not recreate itself any of the other times except for when I try to fill up the sink with this "refreshing rain scent" dish soap. I honestly thought I was going crazy at one point this weekend. Then this morning, I had some dishes that needed to be hand washed. So, I started to fill the sink up and I added the dish soap to the hot water. Immediately, both of my girls (who were in a separate part of the kitchen) smelled it and started to blame the dog for the stinky, musty, water smell. So yeah, theory is confirmed that this horrible smell unfortunately is coming from a brand new opened bottle of Dawn dish soap. This makes me so sad firstly because I just opened this bottle and secondly because I honestly had no clue when I purchased it that it was scented. The packaging on it looks just like the unscented brand. When I'm in the store with my kids and distracted, no matter how much I'm trying to focus on my list, it's a mistake easily made. This scent should not exist. So buyer beware, if you think that it's going to smell like what outside smells after the rain storms, it doesn't. If you're looking for the unscented brand, check really well on your label to make sure it says unscented before you go throwing that in the cart. This "refreshing rain scent" smells like an old musty house that has not been properly dehumidified and left to sit on its own for too many years before somebody decides to finally buy it and gut it to get all the mold out before making it their own. The only reason I'm giving this thing three stars is because the ez-squeeze redesign is amazing. But the smell makes me gag and it lingers. It hangs around for as long as that sink is full of dish soap and then until you scrub it out with something stronger to remove the smell all together. Give me unscented or a citrus any day over this please! But now I have to go through this 18 oz bottle. Eeeee

THE SMELL !!! Unfortunately I have a large refill bottle that we are working our way through. Every time I do dishes I do a double take on what I am smelling then quickly remember it is the dish soap. This Rain Scent to me smells like a very old musty house - like a great aunt's house. That unpleasant musty smell that permeates all the furniture and clothes in the house. I am not a dish soap connisseure but I suppose the soap is effective enough. But the smell!!!

I loved the product for years. I just recently bought a new bottle the new “refreshing rain scent” is Horrible. I really feel ill from the smell. I am unable to find the Platinum that does not have the "refreshing rain sent" I rather not switch but I may have to change brands. Please let me know if you will be putting the original scent back on the shelves because I can't stand this one. Thank you for many years of happiness it is a really great product but I can't take the smell it gives me headaches.

I don’t know what’s up lately with Dawn but it’s not soapy or bubbly. I have to use the half bottle to was only sink of dishes. First I thought it was a bad bath so I bought another but three more bottles later it not good any more. May the formula was changed. If it stays that way I no longer recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The detergent alone is great,of course,but the new no mess design is pretty cool. It's so easy to just squeeze the bottle and dispense the amount you need. There is no need to flip the bottle and close the cap because there isn't one.
