Does not dissapoint!

I bought this last week for a 4th of July family gathering to provide power to our barn. Operating instructions were easy to follow, oil provided was a bonus and the generator started up on the first pull of the chord. I was surprised at how quietly the generator runs and how light it is to carry. I had originally planned to purchase the Honda 2200i but Consumer Reports said that the Champion 2500 was the best bet for the money and it does not dissapoint!

Champion 2500 watt

I currently own two champion 2000 W generators that I’ve owned for years and I’ve been extremely satisfied with. I recently purchased the 2500 W inverter generator That I am extremely impressed with. I really like the new design with the one knob function, as well as the hour and voltmeter.

Great for camping!

We spent a long time deciding on a generator, and this was the right choice. We are using it for camping. It's lightweight, quiet and super easy to start. As first-time generator owners, we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get it up and running.

Reliable portable generator for small field jobs

Use in the field for light construction usage primarily but also as a recharge station. It functions as intended and runs throughout the work efforts. It is powerful enough to fire up a small Dewalt mitre saw even though its probably pushing the limits. The clips holding the siding on could be improved. Adding a USB port or two would be helpful for charging phones, etc.

Great little generator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the quietest generator I’ve ever used. It’s extremely light weight, and it’s portability factor will come in handy while using the camper in the woods. 2500 starting watts is more than enough power for what I need, and the CO sensor will work great.

great little genny

Been using this Champion generator on job sites for about 8 months now and it's been pretty solid overall. At 39 pounds it's way easier to haul around than the old Briggs we had - me and my buddy can toss it in the truck bed no problem. Powers our tools just fine, ran a circular saw and drill at the same time without any issues. The quiet operation is nice when we're working residential jobs, neighbors don't complain as much compared to the loud ones we used to use. Fuel economy is decent, usually get through a full day on one tank if we're not running it constantly. Had it crap out on me once during a cold morning in March - took about 6 pulls to get her going but after that ran smooth Only real complaint is the recoil can be a bit finicky sometimes, especially if you don't prime it right. Overall it does the job for the price point. Not the fanciest but gets our crew through the day without breaking the bank or our backs carrying it around.

Great Generator for the price!

I have been a fan of Champion generators for almost 15 years. I've seen many of the old "square body" 2000w Champion Generators and rebranded versions of it run strong for many many years, and still running strong to this day. I finally purchased my own personal generator earlier this year and Champion was a no brainer. Still affordably priced and lots of options to choose from now! This was the model I ended up being able to get locally and liked the specs. I haven't been disappointed in it yet! I always recommend Champion generators to anyone who asks!

Good quality generator

I've only had this a couple of days, but I'm impressed with the quality of the generator and the literature. I bought it with the idea of looking it over closely to see if the fit and finish of the parts was of good quality and returning it if it looked "flimsy" before adding oil or gas to it. I added oil and gas, gave it two pulls and it purred like a kitten. I ran it for a little over a half hour in eco mode with different size loads and it ramped up and down smoothly. It runs very quiet and is easy to lift and manuever. Time will tell, but my initial impression is high-quality and well built.

Purchased the unit for use with our new Winnebago RV. Easy starting and was surprisingly quiet. Provided enough power for the camper. Used the generator to run a compressor while blowing out the water lines at the farm. While running it in the dump box of the ATV, the unit would stop. I realized that the CO2 shutoff was stopping the generator. Great safety feature at that sensitivity and a reminder to think safety when using.

Another great Champion product!

I already own a Champion Model 46593 (Output 4000/3500) generator which has never disappointed - always running like a champion. I just needed a generator that was more portable for camping and excursions to the NC core banks. This Champion 2500 W was the perfect fit, compact yet the power I need to run the cabin at the south core banks. The generator is exceptionally quiet, super easy to setup, and has the ability to power essential appliances and lights. Even with a full tank of gas, it can be easily caried by one person. I like the ease of the controls and the efficiency where a gallon of gas will last hours. The carbon monoxide sensor is sensitive to be safe and make sure you run the genny an open outdoor area. Once again, Champion does not disappoint with the 2500W Inverter.
