Love it. Very useful and easy to use

Never bought an inverter or generator. First time. Nervous for the first time.. It worked wonders. I had a camping trip and everything worked flawlessly. Ran for 10+ on one single gallon! Instructions and manual is very easy to understand and read. Can't say enough how this made my trip happier.

Power when I want it

I bought the generator for a backup in case my solar isn't getting enough sun. Starts first pull every time. Even in mid 20 temperatures. Run my R-Pod trailer with just one, but may get another generator for my tiny home. I can have the trailer plugged in and charge my batteries for my tool at the same time. Cloudy day solar not perfect, run the generator for a couple hours and top everything off. Runs for hours quietly and uses very little fuel. Extremely happy with this generator.

good but last of local service a problem

Right now it works great, but I don't know where I can get it repaired. All of the local small engine places don't want to work on Champion generators.

Nice, but needs a few improvements

This is my second inverter generator, my first is a Westinghouse 2500 model. Prices were similar, reviews about the same, my Westinghouse takes a few pulls to start, love it otherwise. I think after testing both units that I would go back to Westinghouse for my next inverter generator. Pros: Starts easily, lighter than other brands, packed extremely well for shipping, Cons: The Co2 sensor is extremely touchy, even outside with a stiff breeze blowing away from the spark arrester end, and generator about 3’ from everything it armed and shut it down- after I moved it a minimum of 5 feet away from everything (as it said in the manual), it ran okay. I tried multiple times to get the cover off the air cleaner, but was unable to. Felt like it would break if I forced it any harder. I followed the manual instructions. Hope it has a filter in there. It is very difficult to get the spark plug cap off, and the metal ridge on the cap above the spark plug is very sharp as well. The instruction/quick start manual is different than the instruction stickers on the generator. The side cover is very difficult to get back on, the locks work fine but the bottom likes to pop back out. Manual recommends using a surge protector for electric devices , I specifically bought this inverter so I didn’t have to worry about hooking my electronics up to it. My Westinghouse generator has ports right on front for electronics, nothing in their manual says anything about needing a surge protector. After adding the enclosed oil, I ran it for the recommended 5 hours break in time at 50% or less power draw. When I changed the oil I noticed it was disturbingly dark, much more so than it should be on a brand new machine, It worries me that it won’t last long….

Feedback Survey

My initial thought was, why isn't it starting? I was a little confused about how much oil I should put in it, half or to the full level? So I put it in full and read the instructions and it indicated half would be enough. So I poured oil out to ensure that I didn't over fill. So I got it started and it's running fine. Just waiting for the unforeseen emergency situation to put it to test!

Great little generator.

This generator is so quiet and powers all my essential stuff. The only drawback is the cO sensor is too sensitive.

I need to return it, I've had it tested a couple of times and the sound is very loud, I drive a cargo van for my family's work but at night the sound is too loud

Great small Quiet generator!

This is my second champion generator. We wanted a smaller one to travel with and for less noise! This one certainly fits the bill. Plenty of power for our needs and runs perfectly add gas and oil and it fired right up!

What I didn't lose & still could use.

I'm a T1D. I lost power for six days after a storm. I didn't lose the 90-day supply of insulin (filled prescription the day before the storm) because the Champion 1850W/2500W kept my refrigerator on. I didn't lose the data link to my insulin pump and my continuous glucose monitor because Champion kept my phone charged too. I even had power for my computer and internet modem to use.
