Bought two of these to replace two older models, one of which did not shut down for low oil and seized up. DO NOT trust the oil shutdown! These 2 new units keep stalling while trying to break in, one shuts down every 10 minutes and the other shuts down after about 40 minutes. They both restart easily, but hopefully these shut downs are just part of the break in period. Right now they have questionable reliability, might have to look to another vendors units. New connections were not necessary and required purchase of an overly priced new parallel kit.

Bought this unit in preparation for bad weather in SC. After adding the oil and filling with gas, the unit started on the first pull. It wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be. I used it to power a fridge and a chest freezer with no problem. At less than 50 pounds, the portability is good. I am very pleased with this product.

After reading lots of reviews I decided to take the plunge and buy this generator even though it was around $150 more than the competive ones; i.e. Wen and Smart Power. From the packaging I noticed that this generator might be a used/return item which I really did not mind provided it was in good condition. Upon opening the package, I noticed that there were oil spills in the plastic bag surrounding the generator (see picture}, and then all over the bottom, air intake grill, air filter housing, engine compartment, and also outside; see the decal oil discoloration picture. It took me a couple of hours to clean up the mess. The generator seems to run OK but I am still on the fence since upon starting the generator, I noticed it sputtered as if it wanted to shut off, but after I shut down the generator and restarted it that went away. I am glad I bought the extended warranty since considering the condition I received the generator in I may have to return it if I encounter more disappointing episodes on this generator.

Our power went out for days and days. Finally I received this generator. It's perfect for storage and for keeping my refrigerator and freezer running along with the ability to charge my phone and computer along with some living room lighting. Most importantly, I could also run my dehumidifier. Well, maybe the refrigerator was more important, but my basement was getting stinky stinky stinky. I'm never used a generator before, but the instructions for winterizing we're pretty good. It's now sitting in my basement with the gas out and ready to go for the next power outage. It only gets four stars because it sometimes sounded like it was struggling, so it's yet to be seen whether it actually was struggling. I don't think it was, but like I said I'm not familiar with generators in general. That is to say if I were to come back and review it after the next time, I am very hopeful that it would be a five-star rating.

That was a pleasant surprise. Great feature, didn't even know that existed. The unit was very easy to get setup, add oil and fuel. Starts easily and runs quietly. Very portable. Would highly recommend.

Purchased this Champion 2500W inverter generator 3 months ago and ran it through the paces for powering tools and household equipment. It works very well for essential household equipment such as the refrigerator and freezer and lighting equipment. That is why I purchased it for emergency situations. I am very pleased with its operation.

I just got this 2500w inverter/geny for Christmas and it is exactly what I figured it would be which is awesome and I say that because in 2012 I purchased a 3500w geny to run my lights on boat for bowfishing plus use it at deer camp. It has got A LOT of hrs on it and it's still going 14 yrs later, had to put a carb kit on it this year. Champion genys are the best of the best to me. I've named her 1 pull Polly cause she'll crank on the first pull every time. If this new one does as good as my old one I will be very impressed and it being a champion, I expect it will. Champion power equipment is #1 in my book. Thank you for making something that truly lasts.

I love this little generator. Lightweight compared to any other brand. Very quiet and compact. Extremely efficient on gas. Awesome control panel with digital read out. Bought it to power my ECM high efficiency gas furnace which requires clean power as well as my refrigerator. Will be using it outside for various purposes so as to run it at least once a month to keep gas fresh.
