Great All Purpose Genset

I purchased the Westinghouse iGen4500DFc unit after completing a very complete market evaluation. The unit has everything I need for a back up Genset for our home and for dry camping in our trailer. Being able to add a second unit to increase the system overall power output make this ideal for later updates. Very easy to set up and maneuver on hard surfaces. Remote start is very nice and the noise level in operation is within what I consider the acceptable range. Propane consumption has been nominal during our usage.

This thing is quiet

The generator just arrive today, filled with oil, connected battery and propane, hit the remote button, she turned over a few times and fired up. I thought it was eco mode it didn't sound like it was revved up much, looked at the switch and it wasn't, flipped to eco mode and was shocked at how quite it is. Yes i am coming from and old regular generator and it is truly amazing at the very low sound level. Cant wait to put it to real world use.

Perfect for Our Home!

We bought this for emergency backup power for our home. It is exactly what we needed and had been looking for. One of the most important factors was how quiet the unit is when operating. In addition, we wanted dual fuel capability. Glad we purchased the Westighouse iGen4500DF! Perfect for our home!

Great Features

One of the few that had ALL of the features I wanted. I wanted an inverter that runs on Propane with remote electric start, 30A RV ready rated at 4500 watts. This is the only one on the Market that I could with ALL of these features. This generator is in such high demand that I had to look around to find someone who had one in stock.

Generator

I bought one this month. The oil compartment is tight hard to get to, it was easy to overfill the oil spout, it dripped all over the ground, hard to get the plastic cap back on. The battery compartment is also tight. Other than that this is an excellent quiet generator so far

Great Generator

I am thrilled to share my positive experience with the Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel Generator. As someone who values reliability, performance, and versatility, this generator has truly exceeded my expectations on all fronts. From the moment I unpacked the iGen4500DF, its build quality and attention to detail were evident. The sturdy construction and thoughtful design elements instilled confidence that this generator was designed to last. But it's the performance that truly sets this generator apart. The dual fuel capability is an absolute game-changer. Being able to switch between gasoline and propane as fuel sources offers incredible flexibility. Whether dealing with a power outage, camping trip, or any situation where electricity is needed, having this choice ensures peace of mind. The transition between fuels is seamless, and the generator runs smoothly on both options.

Quiet

Took a while to get in stock and then waited a couple of days and it was out again. Fortunately I received an email notifying me that they were back in stock and ordered right away. I picked it up and setup in pretty short order as I was familiar from researching and watching some of the video on line. Using propane it started on the second try. The engine loped a bit at first but settled down once it warmed up a bit. seemed to handle a load OK I haven't tested it on anything other than a heat gun and some fans. Waiting to get my RV back (if I ever do) from Forest river who've had it for over three months before I can try it on that. Surprisingly quiet, I don't think the videos accurately depict the noise. Mine seems to be much more quiet than what I expected from the videos.

Great Inverter Generator

I have put twenty hours on the generator running on gas and propane. I will be running primarily on propane. I tested several of the components: usb ports, outlets, fuel, fuel consumption, output, and hour gauge, starting features, economy mode, and response to different loads. It runs pretty quiet but didn't check decibel readings. Setup was easy as instructed adding oil and starting. I followed the directions for starting on propane and gas without any problems. Started easily with the electric start and remote starter. Started fairly easily by hand. Moving handle and wheels work well on hard flat surfaces. Does have nice carrying handles for lifting and a nice heavy plastic shell. All components worked well but found that my fuel gauge is not very precise. Put in one gallon and it read 3.4 L and it should have read 3.8 L. Fuel gauge only works with gasoline. Followed directions for not loading over half for the first 20 hours and used several loads as advised. Generator responded well to various loads and with great recovery on higher loads. My only minor concern was the accuracy of the fuel gauge. I am very pleased with the generator and rate it an overall 4.5-4.7. rating.

Nice Job!

I bought this from Amazon and it came quickly. I opened up all access points and checked it over for loose wires or damage in shipping, found nothing wrong and added the oil. I haven't had any outages since it came, but I ran it for two hours, on gas and on propane, and it ran well, powering a portable heater at different loads. I am a little concerned about draining the oil when the time comes. The manual that came with the generator said to tip the generator to one side with the fill plug out and let it drain back out. That seems like it will get all over the inside of the case. The online manual suggests that there is a small bolt to remove just above the rubber plug in the bottom. That may be better. Time will tell.... Anyway, I am ready for our next power outage.

Easy to start!

I bought the Westinghouse iGen4500DFc Dual Fuel Inverter Generator after a huge storm that left me without power for days. I was worried that it may be difficult to setup or to start, but I was wrong! The instructions are clear, and I know I'll be prepared for the next storm!
