I bought this generator for emergency purposes and in the event of a power outage. I research generators for some time and concluded that the iGEB4500DF is the best to get for the money. Out of the box, everything looked fine, I followed the instructions to set up the generator. According to step 3 on Initial Oil Fill, it states, “Using the supplied funnel and oil, pour the entire bottle of oil into the engine.” Well following that instruction, I had oil leaking out of the oil fill hole. Meaning there was a lot of residual oil left in the engine. Your manual for the iGEN4500 reference residual oil, but your iGEN4500DF manual does not state anything about residual oil. The amount of oil leaked out and the amount I had to drain from the engine is much more than residual. Please make sure your iGEN4500DF manual warns users of the possibility of residual oil in the engine and to pour the oil incrementally and check the oil level between each pause. The generator operates well, it starts on the first try using all three starting options on gas or propane. It is very quiet without a load applied. With load applied you can hear the increase in noise level, but overall, it is still extremely quiet for a generator of that size and output. Yes, I would recommend the iGEN4500DF.

I am very satisfied with this product. It starts right away on a cold start. I ran it on both gas and propane, and it is very efficient. I ran it for 9 hrs on gas and under heavy load (3850watts) for the last hour. Works perfectly, no issues what so ever. Highly recommended if you are in the market to buy a generator.

I purchased 2 weeks ago for my camp trailer with 30 amp plug. Worked very well. Using propane, it ran at just over 25% using the air conditioner. We haul the 24' trailer with a Yukon and did not want to haul gasoline in the trailer or the Yukon since if there was a spill the smell would penetrate and not go away. we are sooo pleased at the quiet use of the IGen4500DF Thanks

We had been talking about purchasing this generator, when we had a power outage where we live for a couple days. We purchased the generator for our camper and lived in it during the outage. It did fantastic. We will now mount in our RV and take it on the road to various campgrounds and parks and conveniently always have power. Glad we got it broke in and it ran quietly and sufficiently! Definitely recommend.

Purchased this generator as a second backup generator for home and rv use due to its dual fuel capabilities. We were at a campground this past weekend when a storm shut off all power to the campground for approximately four hours. I was able to pull out the iGen 4500DF and run it for a short time, as a few others utilized their inverter generators. Made a hot and humid day in the south (90degrees+) no issue. This inverter generator was quite and handles the 30amp load (13.5k BTU air conditioner) without issue. Additional features (remove,dual fuel, fuel shut off valve) are a nice addition. One additional note, the generator is about 100 lb dry weight so it takes a little effort to lift and move around if removing from an elevated storage area.

After our neighborhood suffered a snow/icestorm last month & lost power for nearly 3 days, we had to move to a hotel to keep our elderly 89 year old grandfather & 4 year old kid warm. We are so glad this is now ready for our next outage. I especially like the propane feature, so we don't have to burn gasoline & hopefully require less maintenance.

Directions/QuickStart was easy to follow and started up immediately. Remote start/stop, pull start and manual stop all worked as expected. Little funnel for oil was nice and sealed with no spillage. Appreciate that little detail. Not a long use review but out of the box I’m impressed.

I jusst recieved my generator by UPS yesterday in perfect condition. After adding engine oil and connecting the battery I connected to my propane tank and started it up. I then plugged in my 28 ft travel trailer and engaged my 13.5K A.C., two refrigerators,microwave,two tv's lights and converters,it ran everything at 50% capacity. It's extremely quiet and the remote start is so convenient!

Just received and ran for an hour. Varied the wattage that was plugged in. Ran well at all levels. East to set up and started on first try. Looked at a lot of reviews before purchasing. Plan on using this on my Grand Design Trailer. Very quiet as advertised.

I bought this to power a small sound system for outdoor events. Plenty of power and surprisingly quiet. Perfect out of the box. After connecting the battery adding the oil and connecting the propane tank, it started in the first try using the remote start key fob!
