I love this gen. as an older person NO MORE PULLING A CORD FOR 1/2 an hour to start, Starts with a remote dual fuel gas or propane and its SAFE for all my ELECTRONICS. WESTINGHOUSE so you know its great that you know you can trust, comes with propane hose and regulator, and tool kit , battery .

This is my first generator and it is really nice. I connected it to my house through my electrical panel using an interlock to isolate from the grid and it handled all my 120 V loads (although I obviously had to limit simultaneous loading). Very attractive. So with planning, I can live comfortably in my home in an emergency situation as long as I have propane or gasoline. Stays cool after operating for hours. Great control panel. Handles load changes well. Easy to move around. However, while it may be quieter than most generators, especially open frame, the 52 dB noise level touted by Westinghouse is misleading. At 5 feet from the generator the noise level is about 80 dB. You have to get out about 60 feet or so from the generator to get down to 52 dB. So my one disappointment is that it is noisier than I thought it would be. But as I understand, it's still quieter than most. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

I am getting older and wanted a smaller and quieter source of back up power than my 20 year generator which is now difficult to start and makes enough noise to wake up our entire block. For a replacement I wanted the following items. Enough wattage (this is plenty as a backup), portability/mobility (wheels make this simple/low profile), dual fuel flexibility, ease of starting, and not as loud as my outdated generator. This unit met all the criteria and was the perfect fit for my household. Starting it is a breeze and the low noise factor is great.

I used this generator during this past winter storm in Texas and it worked great. Having the dual fuel option to use propane is a game changer if you don't want the gasoline smell in your garage. I did take off the panels to ensure the internal motor cable for the auto-choke was connected, so no issues for me like other users have experienced with that.

4500DF came packaged very well,Instructions were very easy to fallow through and came with everything needed to set up and start. during the 5 hour break in period ran it 3 hours on propane side and 2hours on gas side no problems either side Great unit !

The fact that it is dual fuel with 3300 running watts with high quality and at a reasonable price point stands out from most competitors in the portable generator market. Love the running wattage of this item, the dual 120volt and single 30amp plug. Perfect for a motor home while traveling/camping in case of overnight with no power available or power outage at camp ground. I highly recommend this over lower quality and capability generators.

Chose to have delivered to homedepot instead of house, feel like less chance of damage from rushing delivery people. Ran on both gas and propane. No issues with the engine or the power output. Gauges seem to be off though. Was indicating empty tank and zero time left to run but still ran over an hour before I finally shut it down manually. Remote seems to have stopped working but they do include remote reset instructions. Changing oil is challenging if you have big hands. Also a bit messy, take lots of precautions like extra rags and cover everything plus make a homemade funnel to insert under drain hole to help contain oil flow. If you've changed the oil on this model then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Overall satisfied with purchase and hope I never need to use for main intended purpose, blackout.

First generator I bought. It was delivered 2 days earlier than promised. After checking if there were any damage, none. Only one thing I recommend is don't hang the remote control key at the start pulling string, it make me thought the key was missing when I check all the accessories in the accessory box. Fill in the oil, hooking up the battery, connect the propane tank. Following the starting steps, the generator run at the first pushing start button. Checking all the displays at the LED data center, It did not show the remaining run time(F), fuel level(L) because I use propane. It showed Voltage moving between the range of 125V to 120 V when I plug in one medium refrigerator and one small freezer. But the LED data center did not show the power output, it showed 0 KW all the running time (with or without the plugging the appliances) I don't know why (that is why I rate 4 stars). After running 3 hours, I stopped the generator by using the remote control. 20 minutes later, I use the remote key started the unit again ,It worked right away (good). The noise was OK from 67Db to 69Db at 10 feet away and 52Db to 57Db when I was inside the house with the patio door open(about 20 feet away). So, so far so good except the power level display(did not show the output KW). I will try to rerun it 20 days later to see how it happen. I recommended it is worth a try by yourself. If you see it is good for your needs, keep it. If it does not satisfy, you have option to return it (30 days).

I bought this unit for boondocking in our rv. After unpacking and reading the instructions, I connected the battery, put in the oil, hooked up the propane and it started on the first try. I am impressed with the general quality of the unit. It seems to be as quiet as advertised. I would definitely recommend this generator.

We just bought this generator about a week ago. Other than a cracked side panel from shipping, the generator runs great. Runs very quiet. Perfect for state park use! The dual fuel option is a great feature. Running it off the propane allows for longer run times. You also can't go wrong with the remote start option. Start the generator as you are pulling back up to camp.
