Did a lot of research as to what generator to purchase for working on rustic cabin with no electricity. Had my sights on the Westinghouse iGEN 4500 and knew I needed to get one! We had a storm blow through and knocked out my power at my house so had to act fast. Found one, hooked it up to frig and 21 cubic ft. freezer for nearly 56 hours straight and ran like a CHAMP. A single full gas tank was good up to 21 hours....Purrs like a kitten but powerful as a Lion!!! Love this unit and highly promote anyone in need of generator to buy this model!!! Bought this to be prepared for the hurricane season. I chose the silent/quiet type and this did not disappoint. It's not as loud as the open type generators and my electrician got amazed with the noise level when we fired it up. Of course it won't power the AC but I just wanted something that will get us by and not that noisy so we could still sleep at night.

I purschased this generator before a planned power outage in my town. I was able to put the oil in and have it running in 10 minutes after opening the box. We were able to have heat in January in western NY and kept our refrigerator and freezer running. Also, we will use this generator for our camper since it is big enoigh to supply 30 amps to run the AC in the middle of summer. It will be awesone to be able to tap into the propane on the camper to run the generator at camp grounds that do not supply electricity.

This is our first generator. We researched a lot of them. It is everything we looked for in a generator. The built in handle is a great feature making it easy to move. also it is very quite for a 4500. Just as quite as a 2200. Used it with propane the first time and had no problems. The remote start is awesome. didn't have to leave the RV to start it. Would recommend it. John.

I bought this because of all the extra features you don't see on other models of this size and power. Love the fuel level, time remaining and load level that is all found at a quick glance. Packaging was well done as the delivery service was not so gentle with it. Wheels make it easy to move around once you wrangle it from the box with some help.

This is a great generator. Runs my 24 foot bumper pull trailer 30 amp 120 volt just fine. Love the digital readout for load conditions. Also love the load indicator to tell you the how hard the generator is working. Ran my generator on propane right out of the box. Added the correct amount of oil using the supplied screw in funnel and used the key fob to start. Started right up. The extendable handle for moving the generator around is a great bonus. The generator also has two very sturdy handles for easy lifting. I highly recommend this generator for anyone who needs 120 volt power.

I've only used it one time so far, but performed excellent. I will say the manual is incorrect saying to add the entire bottle of oil, however had i read the quick start guide, it tells you to add the oil until its full. I guess ill blame overflowing the oil on myself for not reading everything first!! FYI, the entire bottle of oil will overfill the generator!!! After cleaning up the oil mess, I connected the propane and it fired up first try with the remote. I let it run for a few minutes, shut it down, and restarted, again first try. I then hooked up my RV and started turning things on. I had a 15000 btu air conditioner, residential refrigerator, two fans, one air purifier, and the inverter for 12 volt lighting all going with no problem. Decided to kick on the microwave just to see what it would do. It did run it, but maxed it out, so i turned it off. I am super impressed with this generator and all the features, and am hoping it has a long service life.

I researched exhaustively and found exactly what I need in my iGen4500DF: dual fuel, inverter, fuel efficiency, and clean sine wave output. Reviews were high and I had to search to find it, but I got it and now I am ready to boondock with my camper or, more importantly, have power during the next ice storm.

I just bought this generator and so far I couldn't be happier. The box came intact with nothing missing. It is quieter than I thought it would be. It purrs like a kitten on propane and gas. I am breaking it in now, but I can't wait to attach it to my rv and go camp somewhere in the boondocks.

I bought the inverter for emergency situations. It was easy to setup. Very well built with extra sound dampening foam inside the case. I bought this model for the dual-fuel capability. The front panel controls and outlets have rubber covers. It's a heavy unit but the handle is handy. The feet are rubber and even the wheels are rubber covered, not just hard plastic. I feel confident it will serve us well. Recommend.
