The iGen4500 DF is easy to set up, just plug in the battery connector and add the pre-messured oil. I hooked my iGen to propane and then used the remote start fob to start. It started the very first time. You can also use the electric start on the machine and it has a pull start as well. I shopped a long time for generators, and this generator came to the top of the list. Powerful enough for home emergency backup. Quiet inverter technology that can power sensitive electronics. Electric start. And will run on gas or propane!

Bought after an ice storm so will be prepared if I ever lose power for an extended time. Should run my 29 ft camper with ease and should be plug in and go due to the 30 amp receptacle on the front. This should meet my needs but will update if have problems.

Everything needed in one small unit, fired up first try on propane ! Very quiet running unit, easy maintenance, quieter and less fumes than my old gas 4500 watt open frame. Electric start is simple, push for 1 second and it starts, same to shut down. Happy customer !

Bought this in June, ready for hurricane season. Opened the box in early August ahead of hurricane Debby. Very well put together. Excellent operational instructions and user manual. Everything was supplied (except fuels, obviously), even the tools to do routine maintenance. Pretty darned quiet, easy to start and operate.

We just got our new iGen4500DF and are very pleased with it. It is exactly what our family needed for our camper and a general-purpose backup home generator. the remote start is a must have feature that works flawlessly from inside our camper. This unit ran quite well on propane. We live in Colorado at around 5,700 ft. I did notice that right out of the box it does seem to run a little sputtery/rough in gas mode. We camp at around 9,000 - 10,000 ft. elevation and expect it to worsen significantly. Hopefully, we can get in touch with Westinghouse to get the high-altitude kit. Keep in mind, these generators will reduce output 3.5% for every 1,000 ft. above sea level. So for us, if we are camping at 10,000 ft. we should expect a 35% output reduction. If I had known this before purchase, I would have had the high-altitude kit on order as well. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.

At exactly two years and 4 camping trips the electric start quit working. Contacted Westinghouse and they send me a new starter under warranty. Problem is there are no instructions or diagrams available and it appears that the engine has to be removed to access the starter. Wish I bought a Honda….had one for years and it was trouble free.

Purchased this generator as a replacement for an open frame 4000 watt unit. Remote start and dual fuel provides awesome options and flexibility. For its capacity in watts, design and run time on gasoline.. you would be hard pressed to find a better unit. Especially for the price. Much, much quieter than my other unit. Very pleased!

After doing a great dealer research, I purchased this product to use as a home back up generator. as I read in many reviews, the packaging of the product was superb. The instructions are easy to read, well organized and includes a maintenance log, everything you need to get started is included in the box. I look forward to breaking this gem in this weekend

I love that this generator also runs on propane. It allows me to power everything off my RV - my rig, my camp chef, my fire pit, and now my generator. No carrying around extra fuel tanks. It runs great and is relatively quiet, especially for the size and power it produces.

This inverter generator was far more capable than I expected, and all of the additional features that it is equipped with make it superior to any other unit that I had researched for purchase. It will serve me double duty for supporting my travel trailer as well as standing duty as a backup for when our power goes out.
