Lot of bang for the buck!

After researching various generators in this power range, I concluded that the iGen4500DF model would suit my needs perfectly. The numerous convenience features, along with an extremely competitive price point, made this the obvious choice. This generator is easy to use, quiet and provides plenty of power for the loads demanded by my travel trailer. I had to wait a few weeks for delivery due to high demand, but it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend this unit.

Simply the Best

I bought this generator as a power source for my 40' fifth wheel. We plan on traveling for a few months at least and have used this generator for places we camp with no shore power. It has plenty of power to run what I need including the one rooftop A/C. Easy to start!! whether pushing the button for Electric start or one (maybe 2) pulls on the cord (for when i let the battery die), it has started right up. It's been fantastic for getting things running so the family can get inside after a long day of driving, or just for the comforts of day to day power usage.

So far so good

We purchased this unit to power our RV/Ice Fishing House combo with a 30 amp outlet. I was really excited to find a unit that ran on both gas / propane AND had a remote start for the cold mornings out on the ice! So far, I've put about 5 hours on the unit during the break-in procedure (so note -- there is a break in process -- read the directions!). Unit starts easily with electric starter, chain pull, or via remote and powers my RV/Ice House without issue (AC, microwave, TV, etc at same time). Switching from gas to propane is simple and can be done without shutting the unit down (if you already have propane connected). I didn't notice any change in performance switching across fuels. I've never owned a generator before, but the noise isn't overbearing and is barely audible when inside the RV. I docked 1 star for two annoyances. First, I only put in about a gallon of gas at a time as I wanted to run out the gas during break-in. Even though the unit comes with a digital fel gauge, it seemed to have a hard time registering that small - but sufficient - amount of full and showed me on "E" with no time remaining yet the unit kept running and running and running. Will see if issue persists if I actually fill it full. Second, changing the oil is a bit of a pain. First off, the unit comes empty but does include a bottle of basic SAE 30. I utilized the included oil for break-in and with a plan to switch over to synthetic 5w-30 for better cold temp performance (which is fine/recommended per the manual). The directions state that the entire bottle of the included oil should be used on the initial fill, but I found that I slightly overfilled the well trying to use up the whole bottle. There is a small plastic plug in the bottom of the unit you can use to drain back out some of the oil, but this is really just for spills and overflow and is still hard to access, leaving oil over some of the interior. After running for the 5 hours, I switched the oil -- and this is the real annoyance -- there is no separate oil drain. You have to try to hold the included funnel OVER the oil well and then tip it back out. Even being careful, it's awkward to hold the funnel over the top while balancing a 100 lb generator on it's sides -- despite my best efforts, more oil managed to spill, again leaving more oil in the interior compartment. There are numerous "nooks and crannies" in there, so it's virtually impossible to wipe up all the oil. So through the first 5 hours, performance seems great and exactly what I wanted and dual fuel flexibility is great as I'd rather carry an extra propane tank than have have gas tank slushing around. Only complaint is oil changing process. Would buy again!

Quiet and dual fuel feature

I bought this generator this week. When it arrived, packaging was solid, all items inside box, and instructions were clear and concise. Assembly was minimal. Cranked up in first try with propane. Ran smooth and we tested with a lamp. Looking forward to testing heavier liads. Super quiet!

Reliable and efficient

I've used for at least 30 hours across 2 years now. This produce does exactly what it should. The spill tray on top is useful as fuel spills have occurred. The pull handle is really intuitive. Auto-start push button has been used every time, while the remote worked once as a test. Never had to use pull rope.

Superb Features

Just purchased this generator. Out of the box I am quite impressed. Fired right off on propane. The remote starter works extremely well, tried it 40 feet away and behind obstacles, EXCELLENT. Bought it to use while remote camping at the lake. I'm hoping the unit will allow us some creature comforts of home, including A/C on those unbearably hot days (nights). I especially like the ability to run on propane. All indications are that this product is an excellent value. Great Job Westinghouse! Might eve

Great Size

We have started this up and we are prepared to use it. It's very quiet and the remote start is amazing. As a Texan, who lived through not having power in 2021 winter, we are happy to know we will be able to heat our home and stay connected to news, when this happens again here in Texas. The wheels make this easy to move for us, as older adults, it's a great size for storage.

Excellent Product packed with features

Researched many inverter generators. For this class of generators it has every feature you would need. Runs very quiet. Dual fuel feature is so convenient. Remote start great convenience. Generators are relatively heavy. Wheels and handle make this so easy to move around. You can not go wrong with this generator.

Everything I wanted and more!

I ordered this generator primarily for my RV. I needed quiet and enough power to run a 15K BTU AC unit. I wanted the dual fuel and remote start. This delivered all I wanted and more. Super easy to set up and it started right up. After running it for a little while, I connected my RV and was not disappointed. It ran the AC, water heater, TV and microwave all at once. I heard it ramp up as I was adding load, it it quickly settled at a very pleasant rpm and decibel level. I would not feel bad about running this unit at a campground if electricity was not available. I cant imagine how I could be more pleased with this generator. Maybe if Westinghouse figured out how to automate the gas valve on my propane tank so I could completely start it with the remote.
