Very Smooth

I needed a generator that will power my RV, without having to worry about it having enough power for everything. This Igen500df has plenty of power for my rv and then some. I love the dual fuel feature and the remote start. I plan on primarily using propane and have it set up on the back of my travel trailer using an electric scooter carrier that has a ramp. The generator is easy to roll up the ramp, so I don't have to lift it on the carrier. The remote start works very well, very nice to start the generator from inside the trailer.

Easy to start!

I bought the Westinghouse iGen4500DFc Dual Fuel Inverter Generator after a huge storm that left me without power for days. I was worried that it may be difficult to setup or to start, but I was wrong! The instructions are clear, and I know I'll be prepared for the next storm!

Solid Generator

Heavy, well built generator. First one arrived damaged; received second within 3-days. Care must be taken adding oil the first time. Not consistent amount left in various generators, per reviews. Push funnel in tight and put a rag in against the bottom of the upper oil fill to catch drips that stay close to fill tube (do not mess with lower oil drain plug... can drain oil out the fill by using funnel -- much easier). Pull cord a couple times (with electronics OFF) to splash-lube everything before taking final oil reading level. Per reviews, generator will not run if not enough OR too much oil. Don't start the generator until you get the oil level right.

Versatile, perfect for my needs

I just purchased the igen4500df and it is perfect for my needs in different applications. It will be used to power RV when needed, but as well at jobsite powering power tools. It is heavy but with built in wheels and handle it will transport easily for social events. It's design is high tech. I look forward to years of use.

Quiet!

Bought this for our camping trip, was amazed at how quiet it was we could literally stand around it and not have to raise our voices, putting it behind the camper we couldn't even hear it. I only got to run it off of gasoline so far but it seems very fuel efficient and I love the remote start!

Pleasantly Surprised

I have had the iGEN4500 for a couple of weeks. It had no box damage but the shipping caused the battery strap to break. Ordered a new one, no charge. Added fresh oil (included) and some fuel. Followed the instruction on top of the unit and pressed the remote control button. Unit started right up. So easy. It is so quiet that I could have a conversation standing next to the unit! Hooked up a saw and it sensed the load and handled it just fine. Very happy and pleasantly surprised.

awesome product

I jusst recieved my generator by UPS yesterday in perfect condition. After adding engine oil and connecting the battery I connected to my propane tank and started it up. I then plugged in my 28 ft travel trailer and engaged my 13.5K A.C., two refrigerators, microwave, two tv's lights and converters,it ran everything at 50% capacity. It's extremely quiet and the remote start is so convenient!

Exactly what I was looking for!

After doing my research, I decided this was the generator I needed, allowing for the duel fuel option, I am so glad I didn't settle on a generator that is only gas. It is so easy to start! It is pretty heavy to lift, but the handles allow for easier rolling around. Even my wife can do this! It's such a relief to be prepared now for power outages in addition to having a reliable generator to take camping.

Nice design and good functions

Elegant design with essential functions for occasional power outages and RV usages. It doesn't connect to the power transfer switch to power the whole house. But, it keeps essential items running with a minimal quantity of gasoline (which might be hard to get in power outages). It also runs on propane, just in case. Well, the long-term reliability is unknown yet, since it's a new product and I just got it.

Love it!

I bought this in preparation for hurricane season this year and needed it WAY quicker than expected! It did the job amazingly. Easy to start, easy to use, simple instructions! It came with the starting oil needed too. It kept my fridge running, my single room AC running, and plenty of charge for other small devices! My wide and dog were taken care of. YouTube helped me figure out how to easily maintain it now that the storm has passed!
