ran the item on propane and its flawless. Super quite machine and just a beast when it comes to power output. Love the digital readout and the electric start. Handles on the top make it easy for loading into the back of a pickup. Westinghouse really did a good job designing this unit

This unit is feature rich, I particularly like the dual fuel option. I could not do the initial start on propane, had to use gas, now it works fine on either. The remote start is cute, although I don't how much I will need or use it. The data center is info I have never had before, and very useful. This generator actually has more power and a smaller footprint than my prior unit, and is portable enough for it's size. So far, I'm impressed with the quality.

Bought this Generator for the Artic freeze of south Texas! Since its ironic, i know, Texas is not prepared for extreme weather like below 40s! So this generator was a great purchase and kept my electronics in the house running a fridge and heaters! Great over all with the dual fuel stuff

Just purchased the iGen 4500DFc and received it very quickly. No damage . Box was in excellent condition p on arrival. Everything was included exactly as stated. Simple to prep and start. Started right away on LP. Seems like a good quality product. I am very pleased.

It runs quiet and powered my camper quite well during the break-in period. I like the fact that it has the propane regulator, hose, oil and a tool kit with it, along with a very complete owners manual. The extendable pull handle works well. I wonder why they have a remote start feature with a fob when you have to disconnect all cords from the inverter before starting it. My biggest concern is the digital display is not functioning - at all. I have been in contact with the service number and the gentleman told me to remove the front cover and see if there are any loose wires on the panel. Since I am comfortable working on these types of things, I did. I found no loose wires or connections and the panel still does not work. I have sent a copy of my receipt and am waiting to find out how far I have to drive to get it to authorized shop. I hope it goes well. I detest buying a new product and having it fail right out of the starting gate, or having to investigate the problem myself. It should be sound when it leaves the factory.

After a couple of months of research, we decided to go with this model to meet our camping needs. The generator is amazing on gas, and very quiet. We also love the remote feature. It was so nice to be able to turn it off when we went to bed without having to go outside. I am very happy with our decision to go with Westinghouse!

I bought this generator a month ago and finally got to try this out camping with our Rpod for a few days. Full Disclosure: I've only put six hours on this gen so far and haven't tried it on propane yet. Also, I live at an alt. of 4300 ft. and was camping at 7500 ft. This was with the camper plugged in to the 30 amp outlet the entire trip. So, Friday night we used it to watch a BluRay on the camper TV and to charge our phones. Started with the remote and it ran flawlessly every time (Sat. morning and Sat. night) until Sunday morning. Tried to start with remote in the morning to charge the TT batteries and make coffee, but heard only a really fast clicking sound and no start. Ended up pull starting it, but it did start with only one pull. I'm not sure why running it for about 5 total hours at between only 25%-50% load didn't keep the battery charged enough to restart it in the morning. I ran it for about an hour and then shut it off. Now, because of this incident I thought about giving only 4 stars, but I talk to Westinghouse first. A couple of hours later I tried to start it with the remote, it turned over fine but didn't start. It tried again on its own, but still wouldn't start and ran the battery dead again. So, I tried pull starting it several times with no luck. I pulled the side cover off and manually closed the throttle valve, thinking maybe the problem was with the choke, but it would barely fire up and wouldn't completely start until about the 50th pull. At this point it was running rough and was lightly popping. Mixture??? Like I said, except for this one incident it ran flawlessly. When I got home it fired right up with one pull so I'm hoping it was an Altitude issue and maybe there's an altitude kit I can install. I am currently charging the battery with the included charger, so hopefully that fixes the battery issue. I love this generator and it has tons of features. The digital display is information rich with load %, fuel remaining, run time left on fuel, output voltage, and actual total runtime of gen. It is on the heavy side, but the pull-out handle makes moving it around so easy.

First generator I bought. It was delivered 2 days earlier than promised. After checking if there were any damage, none. Only one thing I recommend is don't hang the remote control key at the start pulling string, it make me thought the key was missing when I check all the accessories in the accessory box. Fill in the oil, hooking up the battery, connect the propane tank. Following the starting steps, the generator run at the first pushing start button. Checking all the displays at the LED data center, It did not show the remaining run time(F), fuel level(L) because I use propane. It showed Voltage moving between the range of 125V to 120 V when I plug in one medium refrigerator and one small freezer. But the LED data center did not show the power output, it showed 0 KW all the running time (with or without the plugging the appliances) I don't know why (that is why I rate 4 stars). After running 3 hours, I stopped the generator by using the remote control. 20 minutes later, I use the remote key started the unit again ,It worked right away (good). The noise was OK from 67Db to 69Db at 10 feet away and 52Db to 57Db when I was inside the house with the patio door open(about 20 feet away). So, so far so good except the power level display(did not show the output KW). I will try to rerun it 20 days later to see how it happen. I recommended it is worth a try by yourself. If you see it is good for your needs, keep it. If it does not satisfy, you have option to return it (30 days).

I just received the product today. Instructions easy to follow. Did initial set setup and hooked propane tank. Hit start and it started right up. Only issue is that the rubber battery stap is broken. Will need to contact Westinghouse fo a replacement.

I bought this 5 weeks ago, and have run it a few times. I'm impressed with how quit it is under load running my camper. A pile of nice operating features along with the remote start. I wish it had a little better design for changing the oil so that it could be a cleaner process.
