We bought this generator 4 months ago for the dual fuel options. We hooked it up to our natural gas connector - and that's our primary source. Our backup is Propane Gas. We have had a good experience with it. We really like the easy electric start it comes with. It's highly recommended to others who are not using Gasoline (as that part could have problems - but we haven't experienced that) We are very happy with our purchase.

This is our first generator. We researched a lot of them. It is everything we looked for in a generator. The built in handle is a great feature making it easy to move. also it is very quite for a 4500. Just as quite as a 2200. Used it with propane the first time and had no problems. The remote start is awesome. didn't have to leave the RV to start it. Would recommend it. John.

This is the first generator I have ever owned. I love the simplicity and ease of use. It is very well made and looks great. The initial set up is simple and easy. I feel much better knowing I have a reliable power source when our power goes out.

I just received the iGen 4500w Dual Fuel generator and unboxed it. No damage, in perfect condition. Made in Vietnam. The written instructions are well done and up to expected grammar standards. All maintenance panels are easy to remove. Connecting the battery was a bit of a challenge for my man hands but eventually got that done. Based on the weight of the generator, I'm glad they provide a collapsible airport-luggage style handle, makes moving a breeze. Warranty registration can be done online. I bought this large home generator for peace of mind. I'll do the engine break-in and change the oil. Other than that, This will be a "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" item and I plan on only using propane for fuel. I think this will be an awesome generator.

I ordered this to feed a heavier load RV a/c unit and am not disappointed! Love the dual fuel:I added oil and fitted the propane bottle and vvrrrrooom, off she went. LOVE the retractable handle to wheel this around with ease (even through my tall grass). Tried the remote start about 75 yards away and it worked like a champ. I hope she provides many hours of service…this is the one you want!

We have 2 hours on generator, everything ok. Only issue was with shipper and battery. I think the shipper dropped the package on the battery end, as the battery was loose and the - terminal was bent. The battery terminals were also corroded, but cleaned up easy, and I coated with di-electric grease and re-connected. We are running on propane only. The unit starts with the remote almost instantly. Have not tried the unit with our RV 13500 bu A/C as yet.

Just unpacked, filled with oil, and ran the generator to try it out. All looks well so far but I have not run it more than 5 minutes. The features and style look great. I did my homework prior to purchasing it and believe it will be perfect for my emergency home power backup and power for my travel trailer when I need to run the AC and microwave when off the grid. I wish it has is a designated security point to attach a chain to or through for theft deterrence. I plan to run my security chain through the handles which will stop simple theft but I do not believe the two top carry handles are hardened thus making them difficult to cut with a metal saw. Also, bolt holes in the bottom to enable simple bolting down of it to a generator rack or other base would be a great feature.

I've put less than 10 hours on the unit. Overall, it seems to be performing well. I don't like the sun fade in the plastic that occurred after 1 day of use, but mechanically everything seems fine. The cover on the engine compartment was over torqued from the factory and difficult to remove. The instructions say to fill the oil reservoir with the enitre bottle that is provided, but that is bad info because it completely overflows and makes a mess if you try to put the whole bottle in.

I purchased this generator as a backup for when we loose power I have not had a chance to use it for a power outage yet. However, I have run it for the break in period. I have been very pleased with the ease of use and the amount of power it has. Overall, I am very happy with it.

i waited for this to be available for over a year. IT does all the things i wanted plus has option of dual fuel. Can't find another with DF, remote start, inverter and in this size range. mine out of box fired up on second try with propane. later on gas fired on first try. Will see if it has any problems like some have had.. i am hopeful i will not.
