I've only had for about two weeks and only put a little more than 10 hours on the unit but so far, it's been working well. Everything works as advertised. Concerns of the lighted battery switch draining the battery while left on but the generator not running. This would occur if you used the remote to turn off the unit and let it sit, for say overnight, and wanted to use the remote to fire up in the morning. Small concern that the battery may be low/dead due to the lighted switch. I would have preferred a non-lighted switch to avoid any drain while it's not running. Other than that, this unit has preformed well so far. Writing this review to take advantage of their free weather cover, not because I felt a review was needed. I'd rather leave a review after I have 100+ hours on the unit.

We bought this generator to power our travel trailer. Our favorite feature is it's dual fuel capability. It is so great to be able to operate using propane especially when camping while not having the gas fumes to deal with. The electric start is fantastic and having a wireless remote control is the icing on the cake. It's so nice to be able to start the generator from inside our travel trailer on cool mornings. It was so easy to set up and operate and started on the first attempt. It is also so nice to have the LED display with remaining run time, remaining fuel and lifetime hours data is really helpful. The Gen4500DF is so very quiet for such a large generator! I couldn't get over how you can be standing right beside it while running and have a pleasant conversation with someone. Other great features are the telescoping handle and the never flatting wheels. For such a large generator that really makes it so easy to move it around when needed. I am so glad we purchase this Westinghouse generator. It has really been a great asset for our camping adventures! We are heading to Florida for our next trip and I know we will have no worries with our power needs because of wonderful generator.

Bought this to use exclusively with propane. Received item in an unbroken box, with both the oil cover and the battery cover missing. Also the remote start key fob was in the battery compartment. Also the unit was missing the battery tie down strap.

Just bought this unit a couple months ago. Cannot comment on the reliability or durability yet. I had been looking for a portable generator for several months for my 5th wheel trailer and the features on this one were hard to match. First impressions were excellent and it started up immediately after setup. I have only run it on propane at this point and will soon test it with gasoline before heading out on a boondocking trip next month. It comes with everything needed to connect to a propane tank. My only complaint is that the length of the propane hose is a bit limiting and they do not have an option to purchase longer ones. I changed to a 12ft hose so I could reach the two on-board propane tanks on my trailer. I purchased a hose locally, but had to change out some fittings to get it to work. Overall, very happy with my choice so far and really like the dual-fuel feature and the remote start.

I used this for my RV and it worked right out of the box with both Propane and Gas. The sounds (DBs) seemed a little higher than advertised but still reasonable for a generator this size. I wish the propane connector was easier to use with an RV. Westinghouse should include a quick connect adapter or offer one as an accessory.

I purchased my Westinghouse Igen4500DF due to the regular power outages we experienced in our neighborhood. I took a few weeks to reviews a ton of reviews and always found this model to be in the top rated. Its quiet and easy to use. One of my favorite features is the stowaway handle for ease of moving. Thank you Westinghouse for making a great product!

Chose to have delivered to homedepot instead of house, feel like less chance of damage from rushing delivery people. Ran on both gas and propane. No issues with the engine or the power output. Gauges seem to be off though. Was indicating empty tank and zero time left to run but still ran over an hour before I finally shut it down manually. Remote seems to have stopped working but they do include remote reset instructions. Changing oil is challenging if you have big hands. Also a bit messy, take lots of precautions like extra rags and cover everything plus make a homemade funnel to insert under drain hole to help contain oil flow. If you've changed the oil on this model then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Overall satisfied with purchase and hope I never need to use for main intended purpose, blackout.

I bought this online 11 days ago and just received it. I am excited with the DF feature, wheels already installed for easy maneuverability. I ran it today without a load. It started with the remote start the very first time and purrs like a kitten.

This is a very sophisticated machine! Its pretty quiet, and has remote start, dual fuel, parallel capability and a "suitcase-type" handle to wheel it around. It also makes a few more watts than most of the similar units I looked at. It is clearly a cut above the competition. Customer service answered a question I had via phone immediately. When you register the machine with Westinghouse, you need the serial number. It is found on a barcode "sticky" tag that has the number on it. But it doesn't say serial number.

I purchased this unit one month ago and am very pleased at the ease of startup and quiet operation. I recently experienced the first power outage of the winter season which lasted about 5 hrs. The generator worked well and powered my refrig., chest freezer, pellet stove, coffee maker and several lights with no problem. The dual fuel capability is definitely also a plus feature. I have tested the unit on both LP gas and gasoline and it started up and worked perfectly on both!
