I bought this generator to replace a very loud generator I have owned for many years. I always felt like I was disturbing the entire neighborhood when I ran that one. This one is quieter than I ever expected, and even quieter on Eco mode. The display for run time remaining, power being used, and hours run is fantastic. This generator has everything I could ever want. I usually have a full tank of propane at the house as a spare for the grill, so with dual fuel capability, even if I've used all the gasoline in the mower, I'm still good to go when I need generator power.

It took minimal time to unpack and set up using the quick start guide. Opening to oil dipstick is a tight fit but manageable. Started first try with electric starter during first start test. By coincidence I had a home power outage that night and was able to test generator function immediately in 85 degree weather. Rested comfortably on my couch running a fan to cool me and light powered by my generator for 1 and 1/2 hours without any issues. Noise generated by generator was slightly above normal conversation level. All in all very pleased with the ease of set up, ease to start, and first try normal functioning.

Just purchased the iGen4500DF after much consideration. Will be used for boondocking with a 30amp travel trailer and also for replacing an older emergency backup generator for my home. It’s a bit heavy for lifting into the back of my truck, so I’ll need to figure out a way to transport/move it, but I purchased this one because it will handle both of the purposes I intend to use it for. I connected it to my travel trailer and ran it on propane for two hours, varying the load with a/c, refrigerator and lights as a break in run. The only things I’ve seen so far that I would prefer to be different are (1) a better way of draining the engine oil, and (2) a toggle style main circuit breaker to allow connecting or disconnecting the plugs with the unit running and no power output to the receptacles.

Purchased this for upcoming winter preparation. Initial testing went great on both gasoline and propane fuel. Was able to start via the push-button, pull-handle, and remote all as expected. Quiet (for a generator) operation, couldn't even hear it inside certain rooms of the house. Power output was smooth and as expected.

I’m totally off grid, seems to be working great, I’ve only been using it just shy a week, but I really think the remote start is great. It took me a bit to figure out the battery charger deal, they really don’t explain it to well. I’m on propane now have not tried the gas part yet, but I’m glad it’s there if I need it.

Only took about 20 minutes to unbox and get ready to run. Used propane and the remote start. It cranked about 15 second and took off. So far runs great. Bought this to run my camper. Hooked it for a test run in the driveway - ran A/C, microwave, water heater. Never hit 50% load. At 61+ db it is a little louder than the 52db listed in the spec.

I purchased this generator for my new 5th wheel RV. Simple to set up easy to use. It immediately started with both the remote and the push button and pull start. Very quiet and works as advertised. When filling the oil which is provided, I would suggest to start with a 1/2 a bottle check the level and then continue to add a little at a time, If you pour the entire bottle in you will overflow the oil reservoir.

After hurricane Helene damage we were without electricity for about 15 days. Lost all food in 2 refrigerators and a chest freezer. Bought this generator and it was so easy to set up and use with propane. Now I have insurance for the next power outage.

I’m glad I bought this generator. It’s it good value and great quality. I was originally looking at a Honda but this generator has over twice the power, accepts propane, and is still pretty quiet. Seems to be decent quality so far. Runs both my fridges and coffee maker at 25% capacity. Should work great for what I need!

I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen4500DF generator, and I'm thoroughly impressed! This generator is an absolute powerhouse, providing reliable backup power whenever I need it. Its dual-fuel capability gives me flexibility, allowing me to use either gasoline or propane, which is incredibly convenient. One of the standout features for me is its efficiency. Despite its robust performance, it runs surprisingly quietly, making it suitable for use in various settings without causing disruptions. Plus, the remote start feature adds an extra layer of convenience, especially during emergencies when every second counts. The build quality is exceptional, with durable construction that instills confidence in its longevity. The control panel is user-friendly and intuitive, making operation a breeze even for those unfamiliar with generators. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Westinghouse iGen4500DF generator has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, versatility, and reliability. It's a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a top-notch backup power solution. Highly recommended!
