Very happy with this dual fuel generator. I don't plan to ever use gas, unless there is no other option. Propane won't gunk up the carburetor after long term storage. This will provide power to my freezers with more money in meat/food than the generator cost. Also plan to use with an RV and catamaran as needed for backup power.

Just What I Need

I have been procrastinating on buying one of these, but the latest storm convinced me this is a good idea. Consumer Reports highly recommends this this unit, so I will give it a try. The unit arrived in excellent condition with all parts required. As a dual fuel, I expect to be able to keep it going regardless of some area issues in supplies.

I just got home with it!

I got home took it out of the box and filled it up with oil and gas and two pulls fired right up ran a jigsaw to test to start with, the real test will be in a few weeks when we start using it on the race car trailer! So far so good though I'm very happy with it.

Nice tight unit

Unit arrived on time and was easy to unpack. It came with a convenient screw on funnel for the oil fill. Hooked up the battery, added gas, and pushed the starter button. Nothing happened but when I stopped pressing, it started right up. Apparently the starter is programmed that way. Runs great. Can't wait to see how it runs my trailer's electronics

Awesome generator so far

I just got this today. Added oil, connected battery, hooked it up to propane, and it fired it right up. It's been running now for an hour and I love it. So far I love it. Can't wait to go camping or wait for a power outage I'm ready. It's supper quiet and purrs like a kitten

Great so far

I just received this generator two days ago, but my initial impression is good. I added oil, plugged battery in, hooked up propane, and fired it up. It ran smooth and quiet. I plugged in a 1500w electric heater and it handled it no problem. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Looks good so far

The unit arrived ahead of schedule by several days however.... they set it in my driveway conveniently infant of the garage door but.... upside down. When opened and removed from the shipping bag there was oil on all the surfaces. HOPEFULLY this is just cosmetic and I know there is usually some residual oil left in the machine. Heavy but rolls easily. Surprised the 30A receptical was not for a locking plug. Used to seeing them on marine applications. Looking forward to starting it up on propane since the house is plumbed for it and has two very large supply tanks.

Fantastic Duel Fuel Gennie

I initially went with a different brand for a dual fuel generator but I'm glad it didn't work out. The Westinghouse fires up immediately and purrs quietly. I haven't used this that much yet (bought it for emergency use) but I believe it's going to serve me well when the time comes.

Very happy thus far!

I would have given it 5 stars but for the "leak" at the carb bowl drain. Upon breaking in the motor, I shut off the engine after 3 hours of run time and stowed it away until I could get back to breaking it in some more. When I went to finish the break-in run, there was a strong gas odor. So, I removed the panel and noticed gas was in the drain hose attached to the carb bowl. I opened the valve all the way and then closed it. A small piece of debris slid down the plastic hose. It hasn't "leaked" since.
